'83. That's 26 years old. And, too old for a car. But kung chicks the age is still tolerable. I think you should replace it with a newer model.

We used to have a '82 Corona before. What is your variant, gas or diesel?

Medyo "bago" pa nga oto mo bro... Ako my ride is dodge colt '73.
HELP mga bossing.. medyo dami sira eh. first car ko kasi kaya di ko mabitawan..

    1. Won't start - tik tik sound lang. I noticed na maluwag yung terminal? Could this be the culprit?

    2. Ayaw kumagat ng 1st and 2nd gear - I noticed na prior na masira ito, medyo tumitigas yung clutch at ang lalim.

    3. Walang mga rubber channels yung mga bintana and walang wala na din mga rubber sa gilid ng mga bintana - san kaya makakakita nito? or san pwede pagawa an mura at maayos tumira?

And ano unahin ko pagawa hanggang huli? Napansin ko na maayos pa yung makina pero wala din air filter to plus medyo wron out na yung ignition wires.

    First things first!

    1. Paandarin mo muna makina.

    2. Maaring nasira ang clutch cable or clutch master / slave, tingnan mo habang inaapakan kung gumagalaw ung fork sa ilalim. pag gumagalaw, malamang sira na ang pressure plate or manipis na manipis na clutch lining mo.

    3. Di ko alam sagot dito.

    j avvoni,

what's with the comment? i think he wants help on the car he has right now, not all can go out and buy new cars. i know you may have meant well but saying that a car is too old and needs to be changed can be miscontrued as insults.

CMIIW, but car manufacturers generally recommend a five-year life cycle for brand-new vehicles. After that, they say it's time to replace.

Using your reasoning then, these car makers have been insulting generations upon generations of motorists. But we don't pay attention to their claims anyway.

Doesn't matter if you have an old, new and in-between car as long as you keep it in safe and tip-top shape. Welcome to tsikot. Feel free to ask questions maraming willing tumulong dito.

bogeyman, i guess you didn't get my point then. but reacting to what you said, i guess WE aren't car manufacturers to say that a car is too old and has to be replaced. of course manufacturers will say that just so you'll buy a new car. but when a fellow car owner (especially one who has a newer car) tells another that his car is too old and has to be replaced, to me, that's something else. think about it then tell me otherwise.

well bogeyman, i guess you'll always have a delightful way of negating what i say/post. nothing wrong with that, in fact, that is what i love about this forum.

BTTT, what afrasay said is (to me) what's really important.

A couple of years from now, if someone told me my car was too old and he happened to have a newer car relative to mine, then I wouldn't find anything wrong with that. You see, even when I bought my car brand-new, it was already too old to begin with. :D

But I'd also get back at him with a retort, "Sure, I'll get a new one -- as long as it's on your tab, nosey."

And +1 on what afrasay said.
