Is the oil black and thick?? This may not be motor oil.

I think the car is running rich. Malakas sa gas siguro yung car mo ngayon and parang palyado sa umaga.

medyo black ang oil and quite thick. napapansin ko na malakas siya sumipsip ng oil. ilang beses na akong nag refill ng oil. i usually refill two liters every month. medyo malakas siya sa gas considering XL lang siya. 1 liter is to 7 or 8 KM ang consumption. medyo palayado din siya. ano kaya problema nito and how can we fix it. i hope its not something big like an overhaul job or something.

looks like top overhaul na kailangan... replace valve seal, head gasket etc. u would shed about less than 10k depending on labor and what time of parts to use.

Same case as my previous car (Corolla xl 93). Your engine requires top overhaul. You have to buy at a nearest toyota dealer a Valve Seal Kit which will cost you P2962 (price last year at Toyota Cubao). Some kit are available at some auto supply which are less expensive but it won't guarantee you how long it will going to last. Choice is yours. I suggest you buy genuine toyota parts. I have the valve seal replaced at a good/trusted shop which cost me P3k for the labor. Other items would be 4 liters of motor oil and oil filter if so requires. Be sure to ask the mechanic to clean also the cooling jackets before re-assembly.They just fixed mine in a period of 6 hours. That's it.

Refilling 2 liters of oil every month is not normal. Definitely gastos yan pero the sooner the better baka magdamay pa.

If you are losing motor oil then correct ang diagnosis ng mga nag post sa taas.

Some cars, also have black and thick oil on their spark plugs. Mali ang kasi ang fuel-air mixture. Either Rich or lean ang mixture. The effect of a rich mixture is an oily sparkplug. It also causes high fuel consumption.

Kung carburator ang xl corolla then maayos yung fuel-air mix with a proper tune-up from a reputable car shop. Have it checked to be sure before a top overhaul. Alam mo naman ang mga talyer minsan, pag pangit ang takbo ng engine, overhaul kaagad.
