Timing Belt (Honda Civic'97)

Need Help.
I just replaced my timing belt (due for PM 90,000 Km) at CAMEO in BF paranaque.
I noticed after that, humina ang hatak, especially when you need to accelerate (to overtake).
Had the car checked at Honda CASA.. tama naman daw tension at ngipin nung belt.

What can i do?

after the timing belt..did you have a tune up? did they check timing.

"pinabaril" ko lng sa casa ... sabi okay naman daw..
not so familiar with 'timing marks'.. is this a different test?

if the timing marks on the pulley are not aligned then it will be hard to get the proper timing from the distributor.

have both checked again.

is this why mahina ang hatak pag overtake ka?

could be one of the reasons. have it checked tho para sure ka. dapat pareho yung takbo ng car before and after timing belt replacement.

sir, being a honda owner too. i'd like to suggest that you try to pin point the problem by isolating the culprit.

here are some point to check:
-have you filled the same octane rating for your fuel
-check your engine vitals, such as the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, etc.
-check all those clearances, especially valve clearance.

also, if you have time to serf the net, try to find a service manual for honda civic ek series (96-99). the copy i got is is pdf format. maybe this would help you.

pacheck mo kung nakadelay or advance ang marking sa pulley
