I think that in this case it was a combination of these three:

    1. Conversion
    2. Use of snow tires in the rain at high speed
    3. Possible steering problem

A lack of lock on the right? Sounds downright strange, unless there's a problem of mismatched parts... maybe they did a cut and weld instead of a full-on conversion with LHD parts?

Still, it's too early to tell. Keep us updated, GS, and glad you're safe!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

di po siguro malinaw meaning ko:

di lang po dahil sa converted kaya nagkaganun, i wanna make it clear na maaring may ibang factors pang involve....

kung may mali sa conversion, sana ramdam agad yun since bought, si sir GS pa... ko dun sa delica ko, mali ang conversion, ramdam sa ikot ng manibela, even if standing (maganit sa one-side, and rattles, at di mag-permanent ang alignment/camber)..i know na to detect kasi 6 years na ako nagddrive at nagtitingin-tingin ng converted rides...and i'm still willing to buy a converted ride even still i know na may risks and hard labor involve....

pero totoo yun bad weather+snow-tires, ganun talaga ang lock-up in a wet-road, nangyari na sa akin yan sa nissan maxima ko, 120kph on EDSA, umikot ako dun, buti walang kasunod...although not on snow tires(wala talagang bagong nabibili nun sa atin), pero ganun nangyari.as explained ni sir niky, hydroplaned.

kaya sorry kung point out ko agad ung snow tires, kasi snow tires are not designed for high speed wet roads..

Or hydroplaned. Baka ganun nangyari?

must be a faulty conversion process or faulty parts used. i share the same theory with M2 also.

Pumunta na ako sa PRENS yesterday morning.Right rear is locked when the handbrake is release.
    Thanks.
