kruuuugg sound when backing

Lately, I've been hearing this kruugggg noise/sound kapag umaatras ako, whether in straight line or with the wheels turned, the sound comes from the right front side. The sound only comes out kapag umaatras lang ako. Kung minsan naman wala

Yung pang-ilalim ko (tierods, ends, ball joints and bushings) are less than a year old, my front shocks are 4 years old na pero wala pang tagas.

Going forward, I don't hear the click, click or tok, tok sound kapag lumiliko ako, which I believe is attributed to CV joints.

Can the kruugg noise also be a CV joint problem?

could be the CV joint. or maybe the tranny or differential.

suggestion, have someone look at the wheel while your backing... hirap din determine iyun kruuuugg na iyan eh... baka may sumasayad lang sa gulong...

kung hindi talaga mahanap i think dapat dalhin mo sa service... mahirap masiraan sa daan...

My money is on exhaust system.Check your exhaust pipes,hangers.Did you replace your exhaust lately?

baka worn out ang exaust pipes hanger yan. yan din sabi nila. IME

Also check your brakes. Sometimes, there are loose parts that only make sounds when you're backing up.

update .....

I was in our empty office parking lot just a while ago and I did the following:

move forward full circle with wheels fully turned to the right - no kruuug sound
move forward full circle with wheels fully turned to the left - no kruug sound
move reverse full circle with wheels fully turned to the right - no kruug sound
move reverse full circle with wheels fully turned to the left - no kruug sound
move reverse in straight line with wheels straight - kruuug sound came out

hmmm.... so is it safe to rule out the CV Joint's?

any suggestions?

hirap kasi hula hulaan lang ang sira ng sasakyan mo, since lalo na hindi namin nakikita iyun actual... like my first suggestion eh ipatingin mo na sa mechanic...

check underchassis
check brake
check transmission
check clutch
check engine

base sa kwento mo malamang kasi may naiipit... kung ano at saan eh hindi ko alam...

whag mo na hintayin magka kruuug at lumala ang sira worse eh masiraan ka pa sa daan... iwasan ang problema at sakit lalo sa ulo...

Sounds exactly like a brake problem, then. Have had lots of that. Just be sure the sound isn't coming from your gearbox...

could be the "dogbones" (trailing arms). or the rear stab links. sometimes these things loosen up in such a way that when you're moving forward, they are still properly cushioned but when you move backward there's a metal-to-metal impact.

try mo din engine supports.

Baka mababa ang clutch mo. Wala ka ba nararamdaman sa shifter stick mo pag nag eengage ka ng gear? Minsan kasi mas mahirap ipasok sa reverse.

Pwede din iyang differential backlash. Yung mali ang pag-mesh ng gears sa loob ng differential. Pero kung paatras lang naman, it can wait.
