key system problem...

greatly need your advise....

i dont know how to explain pero it's like this....i left the car key inside the key hole coz i opened the cd dash player to get the cd. but i forgot to get the car key inside the key hole. although the car's engine is not ignited. then after 4 hours, my battery was drained. i replaced it with new battery believing it will start the engine again. but after i replaced it and ignite the engine, ayaw pa din.....

what's wrong now? is there a problem with the key system? there's no car alarm and my car is an altis.....

did you leave it at the 'ON' position where the gauge lights (batt, oil pressure, seatbelt warning) would come on? or just the 'II' position?

also, when you say it does not start, do you mean that the engine isn't cranking at all?

Sorry: I suspect burnt ignition coil (not sure about the exact part). When you leave the key at ON and the engine is not running it will burn something expensive dahil nag-ooverheat yung part na yon. Umiikot ba ang starter?

yes something is definitely burned, leaving the key in the ON position will cause something to heat up..4 hours is a long time

my dad just called me and told me na di naiikot ang starter...may nasira kaya sa starter?

Try to check the fuses first, baka don lang may ang busted

kung may ignition coil pa yan, mas malamang ignition coil yang may problema... kasi charge lang nga charge yung coil pero hindi naman madischarge (ignition firing) kaya masisira ito....

wak ka muna mag taranta po sir.. pa home service ka ng casa mechanic/technician for sure or sa trusted na suki mo.. (pwde yun kpag di na talaga umandar..)
if na left mo key na nka turn on yung oil gauge, battery gauge and etc baka nga nasira something kaya di umandar...

Is your Altis a matic? Any chance na naiwan lang yung gear sa Drive when it was last shut off? Just in case lang.
