Need help mga papi!!!, ano kaya yung kalansing sound na naririnig ko pag preno, parang "batingting" na may maluwag. Sa front left wheel ko narinig madaling araw kasi sobrang tahimik kaya ko siya narinig, may rattling sound din kasi yung gulong na yun pag malubak so baka related din siya dun sa kalansing sound. Sentra N16 06 na oto mga paps, balita ko sakit niya talaga to since 2004 pati yung mga unang labas na model ng N16, and wala na na daw solusyon,meron akong nabasang Thread kaso di masyadong understandable, Nag fabricate daw sila ng PIN para mawala ung rattling sound, di ko lang magets kung anong PIN un, caliper PIN ata kasi balita ko rin Caliper and pinakalumabas na sakit ng N16 nung nilabas 2004 tapos na isolate na daw pero nakakuha pa rin kami .. may remedy pa ba to yung pang matagalan, and sakit kasi sa tenga e hehe, lalo na pag 1 yr pa lang oto mo..tsktsk

September 22nd, 2007 01:54 PM #2yup, possibly worn/loose break caliper pin. some have the pin built up at machine shops. the noise should come out when traversing rough patches of road. stepping on the breaks should minimize the rattling sound. however, it's best to check other parts of the suspension as well.

It may be time to replace your brake pads - most vehicles (mid-90s and up) have a built-in indicator such as this which signify that the brake pads' thickness (or thinness for that matter ) are already near or beyond the effective operating specification.

it's most likely the brake pad wear indicator, as corbon said. is it a "kalansing" but also kind of screeching sound?
