    To determine whether your idle is high or low depends also on what the standard idle setting of your car/engine is. Usually, a gasoline sedan would have a idle setting of 850-950rpm.

    low idling-fuel efficient but may cause shakiness due to insufficient rpm's may cause the engine to stall when all accesories are operating...

    high idling- too much RPM while idling..impractical and stupid...

    since idling na rin pinag-uusapan, hiniram ko nung linggo ung vanette ng lolo ko. napansin ko sobra taas ng idling niya. minsan nasa 1500 tapos ang pinakamababa niya na 1000. ano kaya problema non?

    masabi nga sa lolo ko. para kasing ang taas talaga, ang mahal pa naman ng gas ngayon. araw-ara pang gamit ung van. tsk tsk

    idle speed goes up by +50-100 when the aircon is on...

    These are effects.


    Arithmetically:

    High idling = 1,500 rpm
    (minus) Low idling = 700 rpm
    ---------------
    Difference = 800 rpm
