It's like replacing it with a Momo steering wheel.
The adapter will vary depending sa model/brand ng car.

Nung nagkaproblema ako sa busina sa MB100, nadiagnose ni Mang Mario na naupod lang yung contact that bridges the steering wheel to the steering column metal ring. I can see that the rod does not reach the ring anymore when I looked at the gap between the wheel and the column closely.

It worked! I'm not sure what part broke in the threadstarter's case. Pictures would be nice.

I think yung sinasabi mo na adaptor ay yung clock springs or apiral springs. Mas safe pag may airbag di ba? Saka malamang na iilaw ung airbag light mo sa dashboard at baka magkaproblema ka pa sa SRS system since it was connected in the computer. Here's the example pics of clock springs napakamahal talaga nyan

sir, they already check. sira talaga yung connector (clock spring electrical connector). and tinanggal nadin nila muna yung fuse for the airbag para ndi mag engage.

busted nadaw yung connector. the mechanism itself na ang sira kaya dapat talagang palitan.

    possible kaya ang bypass?

    thanks

Mag-line ka ng bagong power source (direct from battery) and use a relay just like what is done when upgrading horns. But instead of the OEM switch to trigger the horns, wire a new switch as well. The concept of the wiring is not that different from that of wiring an additional set of foglamps or other electrical accessories. Then use a switch that is only activated while you are pressing on it [not those lamp switches that can be left on].

Horn switches not on the steering wheel are not new anyways. Some Peugeots and Land Rovers have them on the end of the signal lamp control stalk. Same thing with most buses.
