Recommendation on forced installed non-compatible sparkplugs

Guys, ask ko lang kung ano ang recommendation nyo sa problema ko?
My situation is that a stupid Rapide mechanic forced a non-compatible AC Delco sparkplug on my Revo VX200.
Nalaman ko lang nung nagpa-tune-up ako sa Toyota Roxas Blvd at sinabi sa akin na hindi na magkakasya yung stock/compatible sparkplug at maluwag na yung thread dahil na force install daw yung AC Delco sparkplug.
I would appreciate your advice and help since I need to replace sparkplugs now dahil hindi na maganda yung takbo nung Revo ko.

sorry for the word, ang ta-ga pala talaga ung sa rapide na un! bu nalang di ko pinatulan ung giftcheck na bigay nung isang supplier namin! 1000 pesos lang,e...

Rapide just keeps getting better and better. Dapat rapide na rin ako papachange oil ng isa sa sasakyan namin noon dahil ibang klase service sa casa... buti na lang nabasa ko mga threads dito. Kundi siguro isa na rin yan sa possible na maging problema sa auto namin... =(

kakainis... laking perwisyo iyan ginawa nila sa iyo, no choice kundi ganoon din klaseng spark plug ang ikakabit mo dahil hindi na pwede iyun original... kung nasa iyo pa ang invoice/joborder ng rapide, balikan mo sila at magwala ka doon(labas mo sama ng loob mo, murahin mo silang lahat), insist mo na ayusin nila iyun kapalpakan na nagawa nila... hindi ko alam pero usually may implied warranty sa job rendered sa mga ganoon na service? iyun lang at the end of the day talo talaga... no choice kungdi i-dispose(ibenta) iyun revo mo at bili nalang ng bago...

From what I know, there are three things you can do.

One is to take the engine head out and fill in the hole of the sparkplug and then re-drill and re-thread the hole.

Second is "Helicoiling". Downside is when you next change your sparkplug, it might come out with the sparkplug. If you do this, best to use a long lasting sparkplug like platinum tip ones so you would not need to change it for a very long time.

Third is to drill out the threads and put in a threaded insert.

palinis mo na din, sama mo na oil change,check timing belt,tensioner,oil seals,water pump at kung anu-anu pa para kung kailangan na palitan, isan gawa nalang lahat-lahat....

pero wag na sa rapide...sa pinagkakatiwalalang talyer mo na//

nakakainis talaga yung perwisyong ginawa nila... pero hindi ko po yata personality yung magwala sa shop nila or any public place for that matter... mukhang charge to experience na lang ito... tsaka tama si batang_raon14, hindi na advisable pang ibalik ko doon kasi baka lalo pang sirain nung mga ungas yung engine ko... haaay buuhaaay!!

well, another solution is to just use that same type of delco plugs if wala namang issue sa takbo.

Experience the same thing with Rapide. A year ago nagpatune up ako sa rapide, had no choice kasi sila lang open na shop ng sunday and i need to have my ride checked kasi byahe ako ng Monday morning. They used AC Delco spark plugs din. Wala naman naging problem until my next tune up. Nun nagpatune up na ko ulit this time with my suking mechanic, nun tinatangal na yun spark plugs nagtaka yun mechanic dahil pagpihit nya nun isang spark plug eh maluwag agad. Yun pala naghiwalay yun ceramic part ng spark plugs at yun metal thread. In short naiwan yun metal part na may thread na nakakabit pa. They removed the cylinder cover to access yun naiwan part pero di pa din maabot. So they recommend na ipamachine shop para matanggal. Pero nagtry pa din sila na dukutin using vise grip pero di makapasok ng todo yun vise grip. Good thing may pliers ako na medyo maliit yun body and it was able to get a grip on the remaining exposed metal part nun spark plugs at na unscrew. Na save ako from having it machined shop, the damage was slight scratches sa may spark plug hole then checked and removed yun mga metal shavings na naiwan from the spark plugs. Then ok na ulit ride ko. Di na ko bumalik sa rapide ulit and never will i use AC Delco again.

by the way sir, I forgot to tell that only 2 non-compatible sparkplugs were force installed. The other 2 sparkplugs were compatible and of the same size. So,what would you suggest in that kind of situation sir? Thanks.

it's a good thing na walang major damage na nagawa yung pagkabit ng palpak na sparkplugs nila...at least you were spared of a costly repair on your car, thank goodness .. well, better not go back there again..ever!!

They also force fit AC Delco oil filters in case you want a matching set. Rapide, naaawa ako sa mga cliente nila.
