March 24th, 2006 11:25 PM #1before step lang ako ng 2 times sa gas then ok na
ngayon kailangan ko pang apakan ng konti ang gas para lang di mamatay ang makina.
the ff items were already checked:
- battery
- starter nilinis
- spark plug nilinis din (malinis ung tip ng spark plug walang oil)
- alternator charging is ok
- timing was adjusted (sabi ng mechanic naka advance ang timing so binago niya)
- air filter di pa naman madumi pero nilinis na rin
ano pa kaya ang problem? or dapat i check pa? TIA.

all 1.3 2E engined corolla is carb pa, check mo din mga vacuum lines ng carb, baka brittle na or may leak, or overhaul na din ng carb. or kung may auto choke, baka non-functioning na, pati high tension wires pa check mo din for resistance. dami factors kse na possible

Got this from an article Dude hope it will somehow help
Carburetors have two 'enrichment' systems.
1) The OBVIOUS choke air flap that is plainly visible in the primary carb
throat. This needs to close fully when the engine is COLD after the
throttle has been depressed and released once. As the engine cranks over,
manifold vacuum develops which activates a vacuum diaphragm whose purpose is
to pull open the choke a small / moderate amount.
2) The Accelerator Pump. This circuit operates in sync with the primary
throttle. With a flashlight, engine OFF, look down the primary carb throat
and operate the throttle a couple of times. The Accelerator Pump will shoot
a small stream of gasoline down the carb throat each time as you open the
throttle. This feature is utilized to "prime" a cold engine for starting as
well as its normal function of compensating for momentary lean mixtures
brought about by sudden throttle openings.
Suggest investigating the accelerator pump operation.

sira na siguro ang auto-choke sa carb mo.
you can use the manual choke switch inside your car by pulling it halfway before starting your engine. tapos kapag warmed up na ang engine, you may turn it off na.
I also prefer silver. hindi halata na madumi na and some imperfections like faded color and slight...
