Which is better? Found these 2 products kasi at Ace Hardware and Robinson's Handyman. Both almost have the same price and have the API-SL rating. Thanks!

I think based on our weather condition and worst driving condition, 10W50 will perform better than a 5W40. I'm using Castrol Magnatec right now and I feel it to be better than other semi-synthetic oil brands.

Castrol's formula RS has a good following in europe but so does caltex/texaco in the US.

Have you heard of Liqui-moly full synth 5w40? It's known as Lubri-moly in the US but is a german made oil- great reputation from the users. Competitively priced, about P2k for 5L locally.

Castrol RS 10W50 is a GREAT oil!!!! This is what they use in BMWs in germany and netherlands.

This is what I use in my E36 as specified by Mosselman Turbo Systems NV.

Since we're on the topic of motor oils... is the Castrol RS 10w40 better than the Mobil1 5w50 syn? I checked out the Mobil1 website, the 5w50 synthetic is not listed in their product line, does that mean the stocks available here are old stocks?

The Castrol RS I saw available at Ace Hardware was the 10w50 variant.

The Castrol RS I was referring to is 10W50 which is standard oil of bimmers in Germany and Netherlands.

Mosselman Turbo Systems also specify Castrol RS 10W50 in turbo charged bimmers.
