July 6th, 2007 10:15 PM #2a normal tune up for an efi engine would result to: changing spark plugs, adjusting tappets (if need be), plus change oil, oil filter and air filter.
dyno tuning is waaaaaaaay different. basically the computer box of your vehicle is accessed so you can adjust the air fuel ratio. then they test it using a chassis dynamometer, hence the name, dyno tuning.
why is that? to produce more power, or to optimize engine performance.
easy? not really.
1. computer boxes are easy to access, but changing the values isn't. usually, tuners change chips/e-proms. others change the whole computer box.
2. dyno tuning is done by those who had modded their vehicles heavily (installing full intake-header-exhaust, turbo chargers, engine mods). because doing those modifications entails a different map for their vehicles.
3. dyno tuning is more of an art rather than science. it would depend on the tuner on how much he would harness from your engine setup.
4. you definitely need dyno tuning once you replace injectors.
there are four dynamometers in manila right now. dyno tuning would cost about 5k an hour.
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
