My ride's left inner CV joint is leaking some grease from the clamped edge of the rubber boot. The boot itself is OK, no cracks or tears. Seems to be the stock clamp is not working as it should.

Would it be OK if I replace the stock clamp with a worm gear clamp?

The stock clamp can be further tightened.

If not, there are replacement clamps available.

Not sure about worm clamps. Almost all CV clamps I've seen are smooth.

there is a knocking sound kinda like tok-tok -tok-tok when turning (full) the wheel.

    steeljack,
try to tighten the stock clamp by straightening, then pulling it then bending it to its locked position.
