Central Lock

Nasira ang ECU ng central lock ng Camry 2005 ko. CASA replacement will cost me P21,000 - sobra naman!
What's a good alternative? Papalitan ko na lang ba ng ibang central lock? Yung bang
car alarm ay may central lock na? What's a good brand? Where can I buy? Many thanks.

do you mean the controller of the central lock is defective or the tvss? P21K is too exprensive for a central lock. you could buy an excellent an alarm with gps capability for that amount.

Marami na po ako nagawa na ganyan, usually na undoy noon, kung control module ang problem, pwede po yan palitan basta gumagana pa po yung mga motor, actually, di naman po basta basta nasisira yun e, lahat po ng toyota, fortuner pa nga na bago after undoy nagawan pa ng paraan, palit lang talaga ng control module. Wala pa pong 1000pesos ang pagko convert nun, medyo kelangan nga lang expert yung gagawa.

Sabi nila ECU daw ng motor ng Central Lock mechanism kaya if you press "Open," lahat ng pinto bubukas pero pag "Lock," ayaw magsara ang lahat. Saan ko pwedeng dalhin? Paano katagal ang gawa at magkano kaya? Or mas maganda ba, palitan ko na lang ng bago? Thanks.

Casa says it's the ECU of the central lock motor. When I press "Open," all doors open but when I press "Lock," no door closes. The alarm with GPS you mentioned, does it have a central locking mechanism? What brand? GPS - global positioning? How much and where can I buy?

I'm really weighing this option and the one posted by tsikotshop.

Yun po ang sinasabi ng casa, nasira ang ECU ng central lock? Tapos nag suggest sila na ang palit e ganun kamahal, wew, grabe yun a, kung madadala nyo po sa tsikot taguig sakin para ma check ko yan, ok lang po ba? i think pag ganyan ang kaso, it's the lock switch ang di nag reresponse, madali ko lang maayus yan, di ka pa gagastos ng 1000pesos dyan if yung control module nga ang sira, madali na kase i convert yan e, pwede rin nating e check kung yung switching lang ang my deperensya, baka contact lang sir. Gaanu ko katagal gagawin? Siguro sir, 2hours if yun talaga ang sira, allowance na lang po tayo ng 1hour kung sakali. Yung alarm po is separate sa GPS tracking system, pili po kayo ng alarm kung autopage, code alarm or yung mumurahin lang na lightning lab, meron din po keyless entry lang dito sa shop. explain ko po yan dito kung makakapunta kayo sir..

This guy's good! John of Tsikot.com was able to fix my central lock problem. If you recall, Toyota said that it couldn't be repaired anymore and the ECU had to be replaced at a cost you guys could not imagine!

So I enrolled myself in Tsikot.com and posted my problem. You can read the exchange of threads. Earlier last Saturday, I went to a famous shop in Araneta which was said to specialize in electronics, a friend swore that they could fix it....unfortunately, the technician said that the problem was super as there was no line to the switch; in other words, he would not want to touch it further as he was worried he'd mess up the car's computer.

I saw John last Sunday after talking to him on the phone. He was confident that he could fix it. After 3hours, my central lock was working fine. He is really good. I believe his advantage is his able to source information off the internet. When baffled by which wire he had to tap, he let me read his internet source.

I'm sure that no other guy could have fix it. I'm confident John can fix any electronics problem with his internet connection. If you need any electronic item in your car fix, go to Tsikot.com. Magaling si John at mabait si Jeddai, the guy who owns the place, who readily gave me John's number. And very reasonable pa ang charge nila.....

Wow, thanks sir, nagkataon lang po na marami na kong naging background sa mga ganyang problem, like i said later yung mga na-Undoy noon, na develop ko lang po talaga kaka research sa internet ng ibang alternative na solusyon gaya ng problem ng central lock nyo, it's CAMRY 05 pa, parang europian cars ang system nyan kaya kahit sinong average technician po kakabahan e, he he, pero nagawa ko na po dati pa kaya confident ako nung ginagawa ko yung tsikot nyo.
Natuwa rin si sir Jedi sa magandang feedback nyo samin, actually wala pa kaming 1year dito, dami na naming accomplishment ni sir Jedi from the members, and to be sure, marami pa kaming magagawa.

what was the culprit? mechanicals at the lock system? electrical? not really the ecu right? nandoon ang problema sa pinto na ayaw maglock? kapag lock, may tunog na parang nahihirapan maglock? problem - solution please. kung trade secret, i'll understand.

Wala pong problem sa michanicals sir, even electricals are well connected, the problem is in the relay mismo, the lock trigger is not working, so i converted it to universal relay for central lock, para gumana ulit, kaya ayos na ngayun..

Sir John, ano po ang ma advise nyo sa alarm system ng Crosswind XL ko, sinubukan ko kasing palitan ng battery ang remote at binuksan ko ang remote at nagalaw ko ang lumang 2-battery at ibinalik ko rin ng kabit ang lumang battery kasi naiisip ko na yong spare na remote nalang ang gamitin. Pero after na naibalik ko ang mga screw bolt ng remote ay laging naka ilaw nalang at panay alarm ang ride ko kaya itinago ko nalang sa box para hindi makaabot ang signal sa ride ko. Ano po ang gagawin ko dito para ma solve na ang problem at mawala na ang laging nakailaw sa remote. TIA

hindi ko po alam kung ano sira ng lock ko. same yung dito na ayaw mg lock ng pinto paggamit yun remote lock, tapos ang problem din auto lock nya hindi na nagana pag na step ko na po yung brake para mg lock ang mga pinto, then pag papatayin ko napo hindi ng oopen yung lock nya? ano po kaya ang problema nya.

same problem here..san ko kaya pwede dalhin na shop kotse ko preferably mindanao ave. area or sauyo..
