i think bulok lang yung ignition coil ... another problem maybe yung spark plug cable mo or yung distributor cap ...

try buying bosch yung red 950 yata yun ... and try checking your distibutor cap baka pudpod na ... or check yung spark plug cable either brittle na or putol na .....

pag ndi pa rin check mo yung distributor mo and check kung nilalangis ... that can be a problem ...

Click the links for instruction on how to test your ignition coil.

To be safe, do it with the key out and preferably with negative terminal of battery disconnected.

Its normal for your ignition coil to become hot. Its basically a transformer so heat is generated by the electrical wirings. But if its excesively hot then that might be something else.

If oil is leaking from your ignition coil, replace it. Leaving the key in ignition will also cause your ignition coil to heat up and fail.

siguro nga bibili na muna ako ng high end na ignition coil. pag nag overheat pa din wirings kaya ang may problema?

When you have any rewiring done, you have to be very careful about it... yung kay archangel, it's possible sa pag-rewire, na-pri-prime kaagad ang ignition coil pag nag-"on" ka sa may susihan... which can accelerate coil degradation.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

actually ang coil ay talagang umiinit (but not overheat) bec of the energy lost, one factor din ang location kailangan me airflow. other things that may contribute to overheating ay high resistance na sa secondary wires, same with the distributor gap, excessive dwell. and also sa sparkplug gap and also type ng sparkplugs. factor din syempre ay yung brand.

Bakit lagaing umiinit ang Ignition Coil ko?
