What do you think the best way to do when your engine submerged in water . A lot of vehicle will encounter this Problem . Give some list of what to do before starting the engine.

Change all engine fluids (motor oil, tranny fluids, etc)
Dry the spark plugs (or change with fresh ones)
Dry out the electronics (engine and tranny ECUs)

Grease all suspension, bushings, bearings, ball joints, etc. where recommended and needed.

Dry and disassemble everything thoroughly first. Many newer vehicles have sealed ECUs which should be flood-proof, but a shorted ignition circuit or sensor could damage them.

you shouldn't attempt to start the car once 'twas submerged, right? mas maigi kung pahila or tow or i-flatbed na lang siya di ba?

Honda civic lxi 97. Nasa father ko kasi yung car, umulan kasi magdamag kaya paggising niya malalim na yung baha.No other way para maalis yung car sa baha. Any advice what should I do? What are the bad effects to the car? Any idea how much would it cost to restore the car? Thanks I really appreciate your help mga Tsikoters! Any suggestions for a good car detailing shop?

Take everything apart in the interior to dry them and wash the carpet and seats. For the mechanical drain everything and put in new fluids, if it has been completely under water like what I am seeing in the news I would even take the engine apart and put it back together. Why? That water is dirty with mud and everything else in the sewer, it will act as sand paper in your engine when you start it after changing the fluids.

If you have full coverage insurance see if they will declare the car a total loss. Not sure if they have special flood or typhoon coverage there in the Philippines. Here in Guam the insurance companies have a typhoon coverage because of the damage it can cause and most owners have them just in case.

If not look for a good shop that can fix the whole car.

malamang sa ngayon po e wala pang mkapag-suggest sa inyo sir baka lubog din sa baha yung magagaling na car detailing shop. pero expect po kayo na medyo malaki gastos sa restoration ng car...check the insurance of the car, baka mkabwas o mkalibre sa repair....
