How much HP would this add?

Also, around how much would this cost?

I'm currently standing in line for the 4x2 diesel Fortuner which is *rumored* to have the same engine as the Innova. If that's the case, then it'll have around 102 HP.

    I'm just planning ahead.

OR if you have any other suggestions on how I can beef up the 2.5 (Innova's) engine, please feel free to post.

    Thanks!

you are right that the innova diesel has only 102 bhp, but you are wrong about the fortuner. it's specs sheet says 163 bhp.

he's referring to the Fortuner 4x2 with 2.5li Diesel engine similar to the Diesel Innova.

the intercooler basically makes your turbo more effective and lets you use more boost. but turbo engines with *no* intercooler are almost nonexistent, and it makes no sense (well very little sense..) to put an intercooler on a non-turbo engine (mag cold air intake ka nalang in that case...)

    yebo,

Actually, hindi pa confirmed if 2.5 or 3.0 yung ilalagay sa 4x2 diesel. I'm just planning ahead, just in case 2.5 yung ilagay.

... for example u add a big front mount intercooler to ah... let's say a 200SX, may gains ba? stock turbo pa rin pero pinatapang mo lang itsura with a front mount intercooler.

there are gains but typically this is needed if you up the boost. you will actually have a pressure drop with a bigger intercooler leading to increased lag and maybe slightly less boost.

yeah, the mitsubishi evolution and subaru impretza were both sold locally both by dealers and grey market importers.

Adding an intercooler
