    marami rami na rin akong nakikitang suzuki every wagon dito rin sa pque. mga kei vans na lang ba puede iimport dito galing japan?

    Sa Davao city bagsakan niyan nung na-upo si digZ. Nadaan sa connection kaya pwede daw ma rehistro doon at sa Visayas din.

    Laki nga ng tubo dito.

    Dati nung bumili kami ng service van na surplus converted suzuki FB Kei van (no aircon pa at model ay yung bago nung tinatawag nilang Transformers like the one here), ang kuha daw sa mga baklas surplus units ay Php20,000 per lang. Sometimes, per container van (20 footer ata) pa ang bili na Php100,000 pero may mga 10 na surplus baklas units ang laman.

    Tapos aayusin nila, welding dito, welding doon, palit ng piyesa, upholstery, gawa ng FB at upuan at binebenta ng at least Php200,000.

    Yeah by law kasi bawal mag import ng second hand aside from balikbayan diba? So they have to chop up the cars to bring them in as "parts" then re-assemble when they get here to pass it off as a "locally assembled" unit.

    I wouldn't risk it. Crash safety > cost savings.

    One other thing is the hit or miss quality of the conversion from right hand (Japan) to left hand drive in these backyard shops.

    This was a big issue in surplus trucks from Japan auctioned in Subic quite some time back.
