pardon please, sir tumbong... if i may hold on a bit to the ahente issue... i just wanna share my thoughts... if you need a spare part at may nag alok sa yo at nag agree ka sa presyo at binili mo, and later on you discovered na may mas mura palang iba or nalaman mo yung source, hindi tulisan ang tawag dun. ang tawag dun busnessman. marami na kasing kaso na nagkasamaan ng loob sa mga magkakatropa at naging dahilan ng pagkakawatak-watak kasi iniisip nila na tinaga sila ng katropa nila. alam daw pala yung source hindi pa itinuro sa kanila, or mura lang pala nabili tapos ipinapasa sa kanila ng mahal. tingin ko hindi dapat ganun. naghahanapbuhay yung tao e. e di syempre kelangan kumita. kahit naman presyo ni rover di hamak mas mataas kesa kay minispares. pero hindi naman sumasama loob natin kay rover. kung gusto natin makatipid, tama yung mga advices na nauna na, tsagain nating hanapin yung source, or i-character check natin yung seller. ang punto ko lang, hindi pleasant na basta i-label na tulisan ang isang ahente. naghahanapbuhay lang yun. if we feel na nataga tayo, e di wag na tayo bumili sa kanya uli. for all we know baka marami na tayong napakinabang na mga tips or technical advices from the person about the mini, tapos nung malaman natin na kumita sya sa tin masamang tao na sya. nakalimutan na natin yung lahat ng naitulong nya. i am pointing this out kasi issue talaga ito sa mini community. and this i believe is one of the hurdles that we all need to conquer para mabuo tayo at maging matatag as a community. i just hope that we can all understand each other and unite.

simple difference between businessman and tulisan; ang businessman ay kung bumili sya ng bagay na galing sa kanya mismo ang pera tapos bininta nya,may karapatan syang tumubo kahit gaano kalaki ang kanyang tubo at nasa sa customer if they buy or not,yan ang buy and sell business,ang tulisan naman ay kung inutusan mo ang isang tao na bumili ng isang bagay na iyo mismo ang pera,tapos may jack up sa presyo na di mo alam and then later on nalaman mo,yan ang tulisan,,,....kaya mga kaibigan hinay hinay lang sa mga salita na hindi pinag iisipan,hindi nyo alam na nakakasakit na kayo ng tao,,pasensya na sa tinamaan.

isa pa po sana... sir tumbong... at mga katropa... pagpasensyahan na po... issue din kasi sa mini community yung pag may newbie na nag nagpunta sa meet up... lalo na walang masyadong funds itong si newbie... tapos nakita ng mga may magaganda at nagkikislapang mga mini na may mga hindi orig sa mini nitong si newbie, UNINTENTIONALLY and let me emphasize that, UNINTENTIONALLY, naipo-point-out nila ito in such a way na nadidiscourage yung newbie. kahit biro lang... things like... "yan hindi na orig yan"; "ito palitan mo 'to... hindi pang mini 'to"; or "ba't ganyan ang flaring mo, parang media agua"; or "bakit ganyan ang grille mo parang kulungan ng manok"... and so on... i mean ok lang na i-point out yun but our intention should be to educate the newbie. gusto ko lang na ipaalala na mag-ingat tayo at i-try natin i-encourage yung newbie. the sad thing is when things are pointed out to the newbie just to brag their own minis. (and i do not exclude myself... I MAY ALSO BE GUILTY OF THAT at times.) kaso helpless and hurt na itong si newbie kasi nga hindi nya pa afford e... so hindi na lang pupunta. at dahil bukod dun, ang dami pa nyang ibang problema sa mini dahil nga newbie e, (and let me tell you, i am speaking from experience), he might end up selling his mini. now what's my intention in saying this...? gusto ko i-welcome lahat ang mga newbies & wannabees, at ma-encourage sila. na maging comfortable venue to go to ang mini community and not a place of insecurity and discouragements. tulungan ang mga newbies para gumanda rin ang mga minis nila. para dumami pa lalo tayo. kung meron mang ang gusto ay exclusive lang ang community sa magagandang minis, then i rest my case.

now going back to the disc brakes...

in my experience... one great advantage of having disc brakes is its ability to stop the car after going thru a flood... pag drum brakes ang pangharap mo... mas matagal bumalik ang preno pag nabasa... but imho... for the benefit of those who do not have both yet in their minis, i would prioritize the hydrovac before the disc brakes... i could be wrong or some others may disagree in the argument that having a hydovac does not increase stopping power at all but only lightens the pressure you need on the brake pedal. but to me it's a lot of advantage kasi mas masarap i-drive para sa kin yung mini na hindi mo pinanggigilan yung preno para huminto. then if you have the funds, get the disc brakes. let me just note, i am pointing out PRIORITY, both are a necessity. also, in my experience, mas magaan ang tapak ng pedal ng naka in-line hydrovac (PBR), kesa linkage type rover original... kaso you would need to keep the "darigold" brake master (most newbies would not be able to relate to this.. hehe)... just an observation...

sir dennis i also agree but as the name ahente nga so wala talaga puhunan yan, same as real estate agents and insurance brokers. ang tulisan bebentahan ka ng sira o defective na pyesa tapos sasabihin ok yan wala sira. yung napag utusan kung tao mo yun tulisan nga pag tinalo ka, kung ahente o mekaniko tinubuan ka eh negosyo nga nila yun. lets drop this term definitions as we all know what is right and wrong hopefully.

now back to regular programming

sana naman magkaroon general mini get together/meet/EB. doon we can discuss disc brakes. para di OT.

seriously sana naman we can have a big get together event like the *cough* beetle guys.

Sorry bro. I cant PM you "tulisans or whatever you call these people". Mahirap manirang puri ng ibang tao... Maybe if you show up sa EB ng mini owners, have your ears wide open at malalaman mo din kung sino iiwasan mong personality.Good Luck.

P.S. yung autohahn parts naman, you can check it out yourself as the mentioned products obviously speaks for themselves.

With all due respect, and in fairness to Autohahn and for the benefit of others, please allow me to clarify and share my stand on this. In my opinion, "FAKES" are those carrying the original brand name in the label but not containing the original or OEM parts, so to speak. Just like the Adidases and Nikes found in some tsangge all around. I would label Autohahn's merchandise as 'imitations' or 'replacement parts', and not necessarily FAKES. Rover in QC does not carry all Unipart brands, but they carry replacement parts. Those are not necessarily OEM parts but enthusiasts patronize them. My point... so long as the customer is WELL INFORMED that the item is not an original Unipart (if I may use the brand as example) and that it is only a Uniparp (or Unifarth... whatever), but he is ok with its price and quality, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. For a fact, it is the buyer's responsibility to read the label, to probe and confirm the 'genuiness' of the item he purchases... para hindi sya maisahan.

...But those are only my personal humble opinion.
