Naku may threads na tayo about 4wd binding.

as long as walang driveshaft ok lang. just make sure na pwedeng ibalik lang para walang hassle. walang 2L. but maybe may neutral. basta high traction surface you can use 4wd as long as you dont turn. let us say may flood waters and not sure ka no sa ilalim ng water you can shift to 4wd basta straight line lang ang travel mo, pwede naman change lanes ka but not quick change lane. ma feel mo naman yan pag sobra na ang turn kay there is ressistance in you steering wheel.

meron bang center diff ang patrol?
kung umikot yung flange when i turn the wheels, ibig sabihin meron laman yung bungo?Signature

Walang center diff ang Patrol. Usually mga fulltime 4wd vehicles ang meron nito or yung pwedeng 4H sa pavement like Pajero.
Why don't you just open the fill hole for the bungo and poke a stick in para malaman kung may laman?

yes when the flange turns, meaning may mga gears ang front diff.
kay i have seen new patrols na ang flange ay turning when they move the car. baka kase kinuha na pati front diff internals ang ibang units. just to make sure.
and i mag shift ka and the indicators light up, you will not need to wire up the dash indicator. or this really means that kinunan lang ng casa ng mga parts para maging 2wd na lang ang unit mo.
then you will just add the driveshaft and shifter. as long as high traction yung surface there will be binding when you turn. it may be your driveway, parking lot, etc.

Binding is natural when you use the 4wd on pavement. Lahat kami nag-ba-bind at one time or another so huwag ka mag-alala. Kaya nga 2H on paved roads.

naalala ko kasi one time nagpa underwash ako, inikot nung washboy yung front wheels, napansin kong umikot yung flange.
yung shifter nalang ang problema ko.Signature

Yes kahit walang hubs. Government models ng Pajero at Strada wala namang hubs and the 4wd system is similar in configuration to yours. Yung dati naming GEN I lagi ding nasa LOCK ang hubs so parang wala na din siyang hub.
Just don't shift to 4H or 4L on pavement.
