meron akong mapagkakalasan na mga parts for 4wd ng safari. pano ko matest kung ok pa mga ito? hindi pa kasi ako nakakadrive ng 4wd, except sa crv
yung shifter ng 4wd basta ko nalang ba ilipat? dapat ba in motion or naka-stop?
yung hubs sa gulong, kapag naka lock, ibig ba sabihin laging naka 4x4? pano kung naka 2H tapos naka lock?Signature

Shifting should be paracticed engaging in a full stop situation. Then sudden jolt to be able to secure the hubs fit well.
Yung front hubs mo pwede namang nasa AUTO position kahit na magshift ka ng 4H or 4L, kung sandalian lang naman ang gamit at biglaan na hindi ka makakababa ng sasakyan.
Place the front hubs in LOCK position only when longer travel time on 4WD is calculated, like driving on 4WD the whole day. You will feel tremendous understeer when front hubs are in a locked position when driving on concrete roads. And could either wreck your axle, diff gears and/or front hubs in the process.

Yes, can leave the hubs in LOCK all the time. But you need to be in 2H on high traction surfaces (i.e. pavement). Otherwise, get ready for understeer and possibly breaking parts.

Kapag naka-lock ang hubs at naka 2H ka, two wheel drive pa din iyon. You are not supposed to experience any binding or understeer at this point unless there is a malfunction.
Umaandar pa ba ang donor vehicle? Put it on a lift and test it.

Awitan mo ng 20K direct swap front diffs kayo. Kung kakayanin pa ng front propeller shaft and yolk mo yung clearance.
To test the 4WD function, follow OTEP's sound advice and place it on a vehicle lifter (chassis lift) to be safely secure. Switch to 4L 2nd gear. Or you could lock the front hubs, lift both front tires, turn on wheel in one direction, the other wheel should also turn counter. check for loose gaps in between turns.
Kahit na i-lock mo front hubs, kung nasa 2H ang transfer gear walang power sa front prop shafts, so 2WD mode ka lang.

boybi- hindi pa confirmed if they can deliver it direct there. hanap ako muna ng ibang forwarder.
what we do to test if the 4wd still sorks is we run the vehicle in 4wd mode sa pavement. as long as you will not turn the car ok lang. if i were you you get the whole safari, exchange the front and rear diffs para may locking rear diffs ka. just exchange the pinion and ring gear, baka iba ang pang auto kaysa manual gearing ratio. then sell the safari kay odell. ha ha joke lang
