May front axle na siya including the diff and internals (unlike the Pajero na walang front diff). Walang pagkakabitan ang gulong kung wala yung axle. :D

ungas, otep: thanks for clearing that up, didn't have any online source of information regarding philippine models so i had to look up nissan australia and maybe i didnt understand it clearly. they did have manual or auto locking hubs on different patrol models. mahirap talaga kapag baguhan =)
kimpoy: how come nasira yung hub mo? what are the differences among the 3 types?
pajero: as for the 10 seater exemption; i really don't get that. a suburban would probably never be used as mass public transport, and yet it gets exemption?
how "good" would the oe upgrades be compared to aftermarket ones? i changed my suspension to omes because the original shocks weren't performing as well as i'd like.
boybi: fyi. i have a friend who replaced his front bumper with arbs and he changed his suspension as well to the stiffer omes.

I think nasira ang hub ni kimpOy because he was rocking the vehicle back and forth para ma-overcome ang obstacle. May tendency kasi ang auto hub na mag-partial disengage when backing up (even in 4H or 4L). Kaya pag-abante niya ulit, ayun durog ang internals. With a hybrid hub (Patrol OEM) you won't have this problem because you can keep it in LOCK mode via your tire wrench.
Full manual hubs give you the most control. You can drive it in 4L without activating the front axle (just set hubs to FREE). Useful if you need the engine braking or torque multiplication of 4L but you don't need the additional traction of 4WD.

otep: how is that tire wrench thing done? does one have to get off the vehicle? sorry, still have lots to learn about 4wd. correct me if im mistaken, manual, you engage/disengage the hubs manually; auto, some mechanism does it for you depending on the gearing; hybrid =auto with manual option.
thanks.
