June 20th, 2012 02:20 PM #1Mga tsikoteers, masters, gurus, is it adviseable to buy a 15 year old A/T ECCS? I really prefer M/T but I saw a cheap A/T that looks really promising. What are the cons and what to expect?
Thanks! More power to tsikot.com!

engine problem like loose compression, overheating, rough idling, hard starting and its fuel pump it last for only 100k kms... yung sentra ECCS namin dati AYAN ang naging problema... PAG rough na idling nya or mataas ang idling hanap ka nalang ng iba.... yung sentra namin binenta ko lang ng MURA at hindi mapatino yung rough idling nya.....

July 31st, 2012 09:23 AM #5Don't be amazed of the looks. Better to test drive (sa skyway or express way para maramdaman ung hatak at shifting ng gears) first before you decide.

HTH!

I think I could reliably answer your question
http://tsikot.com/forums/me-my-tsiko...-saloon-88483/
btw, let me just remind you that it is an old car. So don't expect it to be problem free. Tip: you have to have something for unforeseeable extras. One or two components may need replacement every so often. But thing is, a restored car gives you a feeling of pride once it is brought back to original condition.
AT consumes about 7km/l or so city. Could give you about 10km/l on highway driving. AC off though, the thing moves even lighter and consumes less gas. Thing is with the B13 matic, it drives more peppier than an Exalta. I easily ate my friend's Exalta from Luzon Congressional Ext to Tandang Sora Congressional hehehehe... Its tranny feels less dragging than the Exalta's.
It feels lighter too. Plus the rear suspension is more stable, firmer and compliant. B13 Sentras are less rigid than B14 though and most new cars and can easily be felt through the steering wheel. Also, they have tighter accomodations almost comparable to AE92 Corollas (its true rival, anyway). They have a lot of features too. Power everything, 60/40 seats, variable speed int wipers, AC heaters, multi mode AC vents etc than most 90s compacts.
Goodlucking finding one in good condition.

August 1st, 2012 03:05 PM #9based on my experience, i bought a nissan sentra 1.6L 93 model manual worth 80K last month.
What important to me is the:
Interior - (aircon (Cold), upholstery (Ayoko ng sirang upuan at vent), Power Window (all working) if All power) that way, wla na akong gagastusin sa Interior kasi intact, alarm, new JVC stereo.
Ang dinagdag ko lng Rear View mirror na malaki at car freshener :D.
Exterior - May kunting scratch pero makinis pa at intact ung sidings and may side protector pa. And binili ko lng car shampoo, tire black at turtle wax. :D
Engine - Bago fuel pump, clutch, fan. Wla pa ako nagastos except 1K unleaded gasoline used for two weeks :D
My budget is 100k. I bought it 80K. May natitira pa akong pera para mapa ayos kng ano mn improvement sa performance ung gusto ko.
