both have the same performance, they differ in the toys area... like one has the sunroof, etc. I'd get the model with the sunroof...

I've had the STA... get the Grandeur... better suspension and body... slightly better engine, but since it's still automatic, it's not any faster or more fuel efficient.

Grandeur kunin mo dahil VTC na engine yan kaya mas fuel efficient and mas mataas horsepower (116 hp maximum). Better ride din and interior design. May control pa ng volume ng stereo sa steering.

February 16th, 2007 11:37 AM #5don't know much about the STA. Grandeur has indeed lots of toys. VCD lang ang player. I bumped into someone whose Grandeur computer box recently conked out and replaced. No available surplus in the market and CASA provided (import) siya, cost him 100K for the box and harness. ouch!

Usually, baha nga yung cause.
Sometimes, a short or problem with the electrical wiring harness (possible with flood damage or maybe heat or collision damage that pinches or frays wires) will short out a capacitor inside the box. Not much you can do about it except ensure that your car never gets flooded.
In most cases, a computer box defect will be covered by warranty unless it has been flood damaged. Otherwise, computer boxes can last for decades.

alas, much as we might want to rely on our noses, we may not use our noses to do emissions...
