alam ko rev limiters should be at around 7k rpm.. kung 5k rpm lang (gas engines) masyadong mababa yan to limit the rev.. sa toyota vios pag ni rev mo aabot ng around 7,500 rpm ang makina but immediately the ecu will limit the rpm at around 6,500 rpm.. once na reach yung maximum rpm dun pa lang mag act ang limiter and will automatically bring down the rpm to safe level

yun nga suzuki multicab ko na efi engine may limiter din.. nung minsan mag overheat yun due to worn out gasket automatic pinatay nung ecu yung A/C tapos kahit tapakan mo accelerator the engine stays in idle.. smart na din yung ecu kahit luma na

Different engines have different RPM limits. Some maybe 6500rpm while others may reach 8,000 rpm.

it applies to both M/T and A/T ... rev limiters control the engine. The type of transmission doesn't matter.

agree with that.. sample ko nga yung toyota vios hanggang 7,500 rpm lang tapos limit na around 6,500 to 7000 rpm.. but at 5000 rpm for a gas engine masyado mababa yun 5000rpm lalo na kung yung gauge indicates 8000 rpm maximum.. baka may problem yung engine kaya hindi na maabot yung max rpm

I see.. Salamat po sa info. I thought A/Ts lang kasi I often see M/Ts going on the red line.

Haven't tried it though. Natatakot ako sa roar ng engine eh hahaha. 3k pa lang kasi sa vios ungol na.

It won't harm the engine. Just shift it to neutral and floor the gas until the engine reaches the redline.
