No need to worry. FYI, ang gasoline engine ay tinatawag ding "spark-ignition engine"...at ang diesel engine naman ay tinatawag ding "heat of compression-ignition engine". Ang gasoline ay nasusunog sa pamamagitan ng "spark" from the spark plugs..whereas, ang diesel naman ay nasusunog sa pamamagitan ng heat compression.
Sa mga napagtanungan ko, ang mga diesel engines na napasukan ng gasoline fuel ay nasisira daw. No feedbacks naman sa gasoline engines na napasukan ng diesel fuel.
Mabuti't nagawan naman ng remedyo. I'd suggerst next time, sabihin mo na lang kung what type of fuel ang gusto mong ikarga, just to be safe & sure.

March 3rd, 2011 11:53 PM #1052you should not worry..happened to me twice..isa sa caltex then isa sa petron..after driving from caltex for few km white smoke sa likod then lost power..very low rpm on idle until mamatay..gaya ng nangyari sayo...pinabatak ko sa service ng gas station then drain gaya ng ginawa rin sa van mo..after refilling with fresh gasoline..start agad then stabilized agad after few minutes..what i did was just cleaned the spark plug then spray the carb with carb cleaner when i got home from gas staion. pero wala namang masisira...fuel din naman yung diesel, di lang masunog ng maayos ng gas engine...ok lang yan..abala nga lang..hehe
yung sa petron napansin ko kaagad pero nalagyan na rin kaya di ko na pinaandar engine..tinulak na namin agad sa service bay nila then drain ulit..kawawa ang gasoline boy..charge sa kanila..misload tawag nila sa ganyan..

Oo nga bro,- gasolina sa diesel engine,- puwedeng masira ang injectors, fuel pumps et al dahil may mga diesel na makina na gumagamit na lubricant ang diesel fuel.... Hindi rin puputok ang gasolina sa chamber (kaya nga may spark plug na kailangan pa)... Maaring sa exhaust pumutok ang gasolina,- kaya puwedeng ito ang masira...
Diesel sa gasoline engine,- not as serious as the above. Kung marami ang napalagay,- papalya ang makina mo at puwedeng tumirik,- so walang damage.
Wala pa naman akong experience na ganyan. Kaya nga super conscious ako sa ating Vanette (at sa aking isang van na diesel) kapag nagpapakarga ako ng fuel... Mahirap malito....

March 7th, 2011 12:23 PM #1058happened to me once, punta kami bulacan. Nafull tank ng gas boy ng diesel ang Gas engine ko. Buti nalanang napansin ng utol ko bakit ang mura ng full tank, at nagiba usok, loss power doon din mismo sa station nag drain. okey naman so far.

gud day to all vanette owners.....may problema ang idling ng vanette ko...well here goes...if i turn on the a/c tumataas ang idling niya nasa 1.500 ang revolution but if i turn off the a/c bagsak siya sa 1000 rpm......pag naka stop ako sa trapik i usually turn off the ac para bumaba ang revolution....malakas tuloy ako sa gas pag traffic......what you think is causing the problem mga masters of vanette...

Iyong idling screw pag nag-on ang aircon ang kailangan mong i-adjust bro....
Picture ito na kinuhanan ni Bro.shauskie... Kanya itong carburetor.
Accessible ito sa may area ng battery compartment.... Mayroon doong takip sa may left side ng battery/coolant compartment to your left na puwede mong buksan para ma-access mo ang carburetor....
