Having more panel sharing with the pick-up, i think the pathfinder is more realistic/ feasible... But it would be nice if its the Xterra they'll bring in.
well they both used the same platforms.... the xterra is targeted to be more for the rugged.

February 17th, 2009 06:16 PM #82Hi to everybody,
I am new to this site and loved everyone's concept and ideas of which and what.
Being an OFW here in the Middle East, here's my opinion based on my personal point of view re: Nissan Pathfinder
My judgement is that Pathfinder is the best next to Armada in line of SUV's. Given the choice I will take it in lieu of the Explorer. The interior is
too much to expect and the 3rd row is not that tight as you people think.
I personaly sit on all the spaces and is absolutely perfect. The price here ranges from 1.4-1.6 M in pesos. I would have picked this vehicle last year when I purchased my Tucson, for logic reason i didn't. Next year I am planning to purcahse a car there in Pinas and I hope by that time this Pathfinder is available, otherwise my option left to get the Fortuner.

fellow tsikoteers, correct me if i'm wrong but i believe that the navarra and the xterra ride on the same platform and uses solid axles for the rear which is suited to carry heavier loads and more durable for offroading, while the current pathfinder uses independent suspension for the front and rear so it is not the same platforn as the current navarra, so i think bringing in the current xterra is more feasible and cheaper then the pathfinder.

Should the pathfinder be marketed here, I'll be in no doubt to buy one. xterra is a good model. But the pathfinder (with a 2.5L navara engine, as i've heard) is less expensive than the xterra in the other market so it means that the pathfinder can be priced cheaper here in the phils.

March 5th, 2009 08:51 PM #86KC,
thanks for recommending Mitsu-Montero, I did had some electronic scouting of this SUV but not impressed of the outcome although I haven't gone inside this vehicle, the reason is I already had a Mitsu before and to purchase the same again, that I would not do for personal reason(s). How about Ford Everest?? is it worth it? I mean general public acceptance or the owner themselves.

Everest is worth every penny i spent..IMO. If the pathfinder would have a diesel varriant i wont think twice in getting one. With the prices of gasoline these days, even on crisis at that..i still find it too expensive and personally it gets in the way of enjoying your vehicle. This is the "big" reason i resisted getting an expedition even though i have always drooled over it.

nakita ko dito sa china, nissan Q, lookit uo sa internet, it is a car case suv that is selling well here in china. i guess that would be a good alternative to the small suvs, and can go with the santa fes, rav4, crv. i think nissan will keep the patrol in its line up especially when the new bodied patrol is released in the international market(late naman palagi sa pinas, after 1 to 2 years).
