Would it be this version that comes to our shores?

December 28th, 2008 12:45 AM #23Wow panalo..Looks dated but boxy style never gets old on me.2004-2005 pa yata to nirelease sa US.. Maybe no leaf spring but IRS even on asian model, kaya for sure this will have the best ride among the midsized SUV..Engine bay configuration walang pinagkaiba sa navara..Tamang tama to next yr im planning to replace my suv.
btw i dont like the handling of everest, mejo truck like talaga not like the navara parang sedan.

well both xterra and pathfinder share basic platform of the navarra (F-alpaha).
the way i see it, the xterra focuses more on the rugged market, hence that more outdoor look.
I would prefer the xterra, but the pathfinder is the more feasible since it shares a lot of body components from the already available Navarra.
I dont think it will affect the Patrol's territory since this one is pinned against the so called pickup based suv market... Fortuner/Montero/Everest/Alterra
the model maybe old/late but it's still going to be a fresh sight on philippine roads.
hope they really bring this here

The Xterra has never been an Isuzu. The first gen was based on the Frontier/Navara. The second gen is based on the Titan platform like the Pathfinder/Frontier/Navara. Wren is correct they should bring the Xterra instead of the Pathfinder because the third row seating for the Pathfinder is not meant for adults unless you really hate your passenger. The Xterra would also be more affordable than the Pathfinder in term of price since it's a notch below the Pathfinder in their US SUV lineup. The Xterra is also not a Navara with a camper shell also since the roof hump allows for stadium seating for second row passengers. I don't know how they will make the Pathfinder compete with the Everest because the setup is closer to the Explorer unless alot of the standard features are removed. The only one Nissan has in the Fortuner/Alterra/Everest price range is the Xterra.

A little more boxiness and it would've looked like an Armada V8 we've used sometime ago.
From the pics though, no intercooler?
Engines also work harder, right?
