The dealership that does the conversion to 12 seats is also owned by the same group that owns the local Nissan assembly plant. And also 25% of NPI. They claim to have used the original seat mount points in the conversion. If true this should be safe in case of an accident. There's just this brace on the driver's side where the all the rear seats are connected that doesn't look "factory" to me.
1.207M gets you the 15 seater
1.327 gets you the 12 nicer seats (and carpet to match the seat mounting)
1.392 gets you the above plus wifi/Bluetooth connectivity via dongle, 2 rear speakers, rear backup sensors, backup camera, 2 din navi head unit (China?), cup holders for the rear, plastic document holders and keyless entry.
Jury's out on whether the 1.392M Escapade is worth it. The seats only upgrade looks to be good value though.
The only negatives I could find with the NV350 compared to the Toyota Hiace Commuter are:
1. No passenger side airbag
2. No engine access from the bonnet
3. No ABS
I guess they're saving ABS, dual airbags, a/t, power locks/Windows/side mirrors for the wide body Estate version.

October 17th, 2015 12:04 PM #114Here's a brochure showing some of the other variants in other markets:
http://www.nissanafrica.com/en/web/n...50%20URVAN.pdf
There's a wide body long wheelbase version that looks to be similar to the Hiace LXV. A bit shorter though. It's called "Minibus".

November 16th, 2015 10:16 AM #119We just got a 12 seater. Ride comfort is on par with the GS. Airconditioning is really cold even at the lowest setting. Power and torque is much better than the Hiace, even if the torque drops off after 2000 rpm it's still higher than the 2KD-FTV's 260 Nm.
Haven't seen the 15/18 seaters fully loaded though. With the ride being on the plush side for a van, it might need a helper spring when filled with people.

November 16th, 2015 10:48 AM #120Kung compare ang akyat to commuter? Sinong mas malakas? Sa commuter bilib ako sa akyat with 19 pax sa loob nung nag antipolo kami.. yakang yaka. Unlike old urban na parang need pwersahin ng bahagya.,
