Me and my wife really waited for the GL, we"ve waited it for a year. I first saw the GL kasi when we were in Indonesia last year and also read an article in the C! magazine that they were planning to launch the mpv in the philippine market in 2008.
No ofense to the innova owners , marami na rin kasi akong narinig and nabasa na mga bad reviews sa innova and we had also a bad experience sa toyota , before kasi i used to owned a toyota corolla altis 2003, ang daming sakit lalo na yong suspension ilang beses akong nagpapalit ng shocks buti nalang under warranty pa, kaya medyo natakot na ako.

The VIP Card or SIM pack tawag ng mga taga NIssan Gallery, entiles you to discount sa accessories and i think pati services nila. Also, free carwash 2x a month for 6 months plus free oil filter every 10k yata yun till 200,000 km plus free 2 year service check-up plus 200 pesos caltex silver. I don't know kung tuloy pa rin yun sa Gallery and kung pati ibang nissan shops ay nag-o-offer nun.
Pero sayang din yung bago nilang promo now na raffle sa LCD yata yun para sa mga new owners ng GL (wala kami nun last June).

Me too.... as early as Jan 2008 ay nag-i-inquire na ako ng family car thru internet muna, tingin sa specs, reviews and price. Mga family cars that I considered were: Avanza, Innova E, Fuzion, carens, APV (all a/t tranny) then all of a sudden nabasa ko yung asia's grandiest MPV to be introduced on June in Phils. Muntik na ako mag d/p nun sa Carens (approved na car loan ko nun sa BPI) last May but sabi ko sa wife ko pagbalik ko na lang ng June baka nandito na yung GL and ma-i-compare ko muna. Then all of a sudden price increase ang Carens ng 100k+ then email ako sa wife ko siguro Fuzion GLX and Nissan GL na lang.
I arrived Thursday evening, Friday punta kami ni misis sa Nissan Gallery then monday d/p na ako sa BPI then Wednesday release na ang unit. I was even willing to pay the d/p as early as Saturday but sabi ng manager sa Monday na lang. Matagal kung pinag-aralan yung other choices ko but when I saw the GL, lovestruck agad ako, within that day I decided na GL na (best value for money na MPV) heheh.... sensysa na wala lang makausap na pinoy dito sa yemen........

August 1st, 2008 08:56 AM #417as far as i know other nissan dealers dont have that VIP card/DISC card kc centralized po kami whatever NMPI tolds us to give like promos, freebies, packages etc. yun lng po ang sinusunod namin.
and regarding sa discount sa service pwede naman un kahit wala kang VIP etc. just ask the service advisor or any representative and ask for a discount pwede yun, konting bola lng hehe. mababait naman mga taga nissan. lalo na sa nissan southwoods

Sayang talaga, I feel like we've been shortchanged by toyota. With current raw material prices I thought the innova was priced reasonably until the release of the GL. The only good points I could think of about the innova is the much lower maintenance cost, more space and rear vents. If I could turn back time I'd definitely get the GL instead. Trade-in anyone?
