I thought so. I got my unit a little over a week lang stock pa rin ang HU. Of course, anything on top of the stock accessories may price kasi GPS or I-touch lang talaga ang promo ng NMPI.
Btw, share ko lang last Sunday my family and I were in SM Mega and while looking for a vacant parking slot, sinikitan ako ng isang mitsu adventure at na scratched tuloy un left rear fender ko. Buti na lang pintura lang nung adventure and dumikit at natangal din ng wax after pinapa-washing and waxing ko sa mga car washers din doon. Kakainis talaga!
P.S. My back-up sensor was given free by my SA from Mantrade.

Sir Shauntot: When I went to Mantrade last Saturday and there was also this lady who was complaining about the vent. And this what I heard the service advisor was telling her:
The GL is equipped with an auto-climate that tracks the temperature inside the car. If a certain level is reached, the vent will automatically open up to allow air from outside to get in and replace the air inside the car. This is to ensure that the level of freon inside the vehicle is not toxic or poisonous.

GLOVERS, does this make sense to you? I'm a little skeptic because I don't believe freon gets inside the car otherwise, we will have to keep on refilling the compressor. On the other hand, the automatic vent opening could be true if the temperature in the car is higher than the temperature outside (but unlikely sa Pinas).
Sharing is caring...

hello sir! i don't think i buy their theory at all, sinusubukan lang siguro nung taga mantrade na umiwas magtrabaho yung service attendant nila. i tested this theory myself, i asked a friend to blow cigarette smoke into the grille and i was inside the car, pumasok yung amoy usok ng yosi. that's from a freshly started engine and aircon.
also in c5, meron part dun right after the tollgate entry na meron laging nagsisiga/nasusunog, 4 times ako dumaan dun this weekend, when I passed through the smoke, ang lakas ng amoy ng usok sa cabin.
Also, I believe when I was reading through the thread before meron na fellow GL owner na nakapag dala sa casa and nilagyan ng silicon yung flap, kasi nga daw hndi nakalapat ng mabuti when they opened it up. Hndi ko lang maalala kung sino yung user na yun right now..so kung meron ekek na autoclimate dapat hndi na dapat na-acknowledge and inayos ng Nissan (whatever casa yun)
Also before I bought my GL, I specifically asked my SA if naayos na yung vent problem, sabi niya ay oo sir kasi nga maraming nagreklamo before. So it means na alam na nila na may prob talaga yung vent ng GL natin before pa.
umiiwas lang sa trabaho yung mga yun, wala kasing bayad under warranty pa e

You have a point sir. I'll try passing that area you mentioned one of these days para masubukan ko rin. Nasa C5 din bahay namin although bandang Heritage Park na. What is strange though is that when I tried searching the net for a similar concern, I couldn't find anything except sa thread natin. Could it be that it is a local assembly plant issue (NMPI)? Perhaps, grabe lang talaga pollution natin?

March 29th, 2010 06:35 PM #2689if you're from that area pala, I'm sure you know that part after the tollgate na laging may nagsisiga, araw or gabi
i'm pretty sure it's a local assembly issue and not our country's pollution. if it was pollution, kahit ibang kotse maapektuhan sir. i never had this problem in any of my previous vehicles so i'm 99% problema nila sa local assembly po yun sir if it's not present in other livina forums for other countries.
