Initially, I was considering Innova as a family car, in fact I inquired with Toyota Cubao few months back. However, ito yung mga naging drawback sa pagpili ko sa Innova:
- Very big for a family of 5
- big for my garage
- madaling manakaw yung spare tire
- very common (3 of my neighbors are having Innova)
- ride is not as smooth as GL
- interior is more on plastic (quality is not that high)
- I prefer the flat fold 3rd row than fold and tumble
- FC? I am getting 9.83 kpl sa GL A/T ko-city driving 100% (break-in period)
Also, service namin sa Yemen is Hilux 2500 D4D 4WD kaya parang sawa na rin ako sa Toyota. BUT, it all boils down to your needs; try mo test drive both MPV and read the threads, marami kang info na makukuha. Innova is a good MPV but it doesn't suit my requirements kaya I chose GL.

If you want CRDI diesel go for Kia Carens, if you want a petrol engine..go for the Nissan GL, you wont go wrong with this two, this 2 MPV's are global, unlike the innova w/c is an AUV, and can only be seen in some asian countries, Imagine...if you go abroad (US, Canada, Europe etc), then sa mga city streets makikita mo ang mga ito sa daan, it would make you proud to own one hehehehe
....i do...i own a carens and i often see it here in china, also the GL dami din dito (btw, livina geniss ang pangalan nila ditofor the GL).

Thanks Mikko for all your fuel saving tips.... they'll surely come in handy. We just had our 1 km PM check-up and the service advisor reassured us that the FC would still improve.... sana nga....
hirap lang kasi pag lagi kang nasa overtaking mode... lalo na pag nagmamadali sa umaga from marikina to makati para di ma late si misis.... hahaha
time to reset my default settings to "taking it easy on the gas pedal"... but not slow naman.
If NGL owners here have an EB scheduled, gimme a PM... I can join you guys and help you understand the car better. I guess I can say I know it inside out having trained the sales agents about the product and having been in charge of the department that launched it.... we should have an EB anytime soon (bago umalis si welscua....kailan ka ba aalis, pre?). If my count's correct, we're at least three here who have posted.... It would be kinda cool to have more than 1 GL in one place (and not in showrooms) ... para maging mas visible tayo. Medyo kakaunti pa kasi tayo kaya we seldom see a twin on the road. Though i have to admit, masarap din naman ang feeling na you're different from all the innovas, avanzas and carens on the road.... head turner talaga ang GL natin! Well, only if you guys are up to it...
Congratulations to the new owners! I hope you enjoy the Nissan Grand Livina as much as I did!!

My tentative flight sched is on 14 July, However, weekends are family day esp. excited pa kami sa lakaran using our GL. So available ako weekdays; daily naman ay naka-monitor ako sa thread kaya post lang kayo kung mapush through ng weekdays and I'll be there... But, if you can wait around 4 to 5 weeks lang naman ang work ko sa Yemen so by next month ay dito ulit ako; by then puede na ako sa weekends and hopefully there will be new GL owners.
BTW, I think 4 na tayong nag-post dito na GL owner in less than a month of GL introduction.
