well i think they bought a grand livina because they have a bunch of passengers... its not all the time the 3rd row is utilized but STILL it is a must na may dual aircon nga. hehe! imagine kung puno ang sakay ng livina... maguunhan yan sa kung kanino nakatapat yung center vents nung aircon lalo na sa mga kids kapag mainit na talaga! hahaha!
id rather buy a small car kung fuel economy lang ang paguusapan dahil tinanggal yung 2nd aircon except nalang kung talagang pang antartica to the max ang buga ng single aircon...

*always_yummy: Yes you are correct but let's not forget that GL (IMO) is the only car or MPV that has an air vent on the dashboard designed to blow cold air directly to the upper part of the vehicle interior, so walang harang plus the forward movement of the vehicle. Aside from that we know that hot air rises so yung upper part ng cabin yun ang area where the temperature is higher. However, I think there would be delay in cooling the 3rd row area.

about the fuel consumption, hindi ko pa sure but i went from nissan balintawak - seaoil (near Chinese general hospital) nagpafull tank - kumain sa shakeys near ust - then went to nlex to valenzuela....1/4 - 1/6 lang ang nabawas until i reach home...so i think hindi ganoon kalakas ang kain ng gas... and note, nakabreak-in pa yan
pag-upo ko sa 2nd row, well mataba at matangkad ako with my other 2 friends na mataba din, tolerable namanand abot naman ang aircon hangang 2nd row...kapag ang 3rd row...hindi ko pa nattry, ayaw ko kasi umupo doon
pero guys, think about it, kapag nilagyan nila ng aircon sa likod edi mas lalakas ang kain ng gas diba? GL is known for its fuel consumption diba...
malakas naman ang aircon eh, nasa 2 lang ang aircon ko + half-cold ang thermostat ko = malamig pa ang car, nagfofog pa nga sa loob eh

Saw this at sm north and to me its a totally Bland vehicle (typical Nissan).
They should have offered a diesel engine at the same price and dual a/c to boot. This proves that they are skipping a lot of standard features just to make a profit.
Haaaay Nissan Philippines....you need a lot of

On that note, I would like to share this: I read somewhere that Airconditioners are most effective if they blow cold air upwards, kasi, hot air rises and cold air descends... so yung cold air, mararamdaman mo nang mas matagal dahil naglalakbay mula itaas hanggang sa ibaba.
Kung ididiretso mo sa katawan mo, like many people do, parang hindi sulit. Baka "MANGILO." HEHEHEHE...
Pero interesado pa rin ako sa Grand Livina for my next car, along with the Carens...

as i said above---asa ka, e NMPI nga ang dahilan kaya di dumating ang YD22-NeoDDi powered xtrail,e!
nga pala, just saw the commercial--- drives like a sedan, you'll forget its an MPV... irony, is front AC nga lang pa, parang sedan...
ok lang kung klima natin same as hongkong/korea/taiwan.. pero heller, we peak almost 40 deg C.. so maghihirap talaga AC na yun pag summer..
pero i'm giving nissan benifit of the doubt.. malay natin..."kaizen" or incremental improvement... like toyotaLast edited by alwayz_yummy; June 18th, 2008 at 10:05 AM.

[SIZE=2]i dont think that the el grand will come here, unless toyota brought in the alphard which i think is next to impossible.
the livina is quite practical and affordable but nmpi surely lags behind as they havent replaced the current sentra and no tilda here yet.

Just arrived last night, from NAIA nagcar-rental ako sa suki ko Nissan Phils. Nissan Cefiro ang binigay nila sa akin. Guess what... pareho yung cefiro and GL ng design sa door trimmings and color. Plus , I noticed may air vent din sa dashboard yung cefiro like the GL. So I think, proven na yung design ng a/c vent sa dashboard. Lastly, I saw 1 Kia Carens in Dubai and lots of Nissan Tiida (O.T.).
