HI ALL..!!

For quite sometime now, my LIVINA is SUCH PAIN IN THE ASS..!!!

The fuel consumption NEVER changed from (average) of horrifying 7Km/L..

I always use the highway since i am from Muntinlupa going to alabang, makati (DAILY BASIS) and it never changed after consulting nissan MANTRADE, they've adjust the idling even a non-technician can do but still never address the main concern, i did travel to bataan and provinces, but it only added 1km, turning 7-8KM/Ltr. I tried to convince them to check the ECU but never got a chance to do it, HINDI DAW GINAGALAW YUN, so there is no chance to check the ECU aside from total breakdown, hindi mache-check yun kundi masisisra. This friday, i will fight for gasoline charges to drive the LIVINA by me in the first route and another driver from nissan and an AUDITOR using the same route to check of there would be a problem on the handling ONLY. iba iba na nag drive ng LIVINA nato pero same FUEL consumption. AT isa pa kung napansin nyo, pumapasok yung hangin and dinig na dinig mo yun labas, even yung paguusap ng mga tao, yung sasakyan naman, hindi yung vibration KUNDI yung pitch ng noise, even yung paglusong sa baha nadiding mo in low speed, the only thing i can see na advantage is UNUSSUAL sya due to the fact na konti pa lang nabebenta, sabi nila nag contribute daw yung LIMITED edition dahil nag palit ako ng MAGS since stock is 15 in. and limited is 16 inch. SO MEANING, 50% yung degredation with the DIFFERENCE OF 1 inch, and sinukat ko yung mismong WHEEL CIRCUMFERENCE, halos PAREHONG PAREHO ng stock na 15. I dont know kung malas talaga or LIVINA is such not a good buy, hindi na-aadjust yung seatbelt, mahina aircon (unlike as NISAN SIGNATURE), no armrest, masakit sa likod yun upuan, walang indicator sa seatbelt(sa initial start lang) walang temp level (indicator lang), yung back seat hindi nabababa ng half( pano kung 4 yung back passenger) eh di kandungan na lang, yung mag control panel (cabin)buttons malayo sa driver (hindi mo maadjust yung aircon vel ng nakasandal ka) and some minor problems, sana maoffset to ng FUEL consumption man lang, na hindi ko pa ma achieve....

ang lungkot naman naging experience mo sa GL mo bro,sauli mo yan, parang lemon unit yan eh. lipat mo kaya sa ibang casa dun mo patingnan.

*Marc:same advice here...... pero yung iba mong grievances sa unit dapat na-observe mo na yun before you bought the unit like no armrest, no temp ind., etc..

Yung iba kayang buyer ng Limited Edition, may feedback ba sa FC?

I'm missing my GL na, 12 days to go.....I am planning to bring my family back to Tagaytay, mas OK siguro dun instead na weekend malling due to A(H1N1) virus.

pasingit.. last weekend, june 6-7, may pinahiram sa akin ang NMPI na livina.. 6MT, 22Tkms media test car.

ask ko lang--*SCTEX--i was able to push the car up to 210kph*4000rpm...aabot pa ba to 220kph un*redline? anyways--sarap ihataw nung livina..pero inside, feeling ko di pa umaabot sa 180... only lang si esmi (w/ the sandal ready) at father-in-law ko nagsabi sa akin na 210+ na ung guage...

eto pa medyo "surprised" ako: full tank iniwan sa akin ung livina. sat-pumunta kami ng pansol from here in proj.6 then balik.. 1/2 of the tank was left..then the following day, dumirecho kami sa palayan city, n.e. balikan lang din..ok lang ba consumo--full tank bale-- mga around 600-650km tinakbo ng sasakyan(200-220km balikan ng pansol, 350-400km balikan ng palayan city)?

There probably isn't an entry in Nissan's book on what to do with heavy fuel consumption complaints (and I doubt there is for other brands). If you think it's the ECU then you could be mistaken - unless your car is sluggish or smells of fuel at the exhaust pipe (which could be symptoms of a rich air-fuel mixture) then there's really no point in looking at the ECU. What I do suggest is borrow one of the ECUs of a Livina owner here.. drive your car using your daily route and if the fuel consumption improves then you have a case to present to the dealership. Otherwise, it's just your word against the others here who are fine with their vehicle's fuel consumption anyway.

I personally have ringing in my ears most of the time, so I wouldn't even know how you do it. I wouldn't traverse floods that reach the floor by the way, whatever car I'm using.

the only thing i can see na advantage is UNUSSUAL sya due to the fact na konti pa lang nabebenta, -- Yep, UNUSUAL nga po.. strange, odd, curious, abnormal.. but also extraordinary, remarkable and bizzare, in plain words not ordinary. yep true, especially if you compare it with the 10s of thousands of innovas and avanzas. And all the more it is UNUSUAL because it rides like a car and not like a truck the way the two other models ride and drive. I suppose you test drove all three models before you purchased your Grand Livina? Then you should know what I mean.

Are you still talking about fuel economy here or something else? And tama, dapat lang the diameter of the 15" and 16" wheel should be almost the same to maintain accuracy of the speedometer and odometer reading. Kaya habang lumalaki ang mags, numinipis ang sidewall ng goma to maintain overall diameter consistency.

masakit sa likod yun upuan -- oo kung sa 3rd row ka nga nakaupo habang nagmamaneho. Pero kung sa harap, not at all, in fact it's one of the most comfortable seats I've driven on in recent memory.

walang indicator sa seatbelt(sa initial start lang) -- dapat lang, kasi kung nakapirme yung seatbelt light habang nagmamaneho ka that would indicate na may problem ang seatbelt system. What car has seatbelt indicator lights on the whole time, honestly? Did your previous cars have seatbelt warning lights on the whole time?


walang temp level (indicator lang), -- first mainstream car to do this as far as I know was the City, then the Jazz. And they still don't have a temp level gauge even when they changed models to the current ones. Why bother looking at a gauge that stays at the same level 99% of the time anyway? The pilot lamp will warn you faster if there's something wrong with the temp... the same way the lamp for oil, or the battery lamp lights up only when there's something wrong. You don't see any gauges for those in any regular vehicle right? I don't think even the Innova or the avanza has those.

Yung innova nga nahahati sa gitna, tumataas sa gilid ang upuan eh kahit ako hindi dadaan dun, sumabit pa ulo ko sa mga bakal na nakalawit. Avanza din naman di nagfofold sa gitna, nakaharang pa sa likod pag tinaas.

( pano kung 4 yung back passenger) eh di kandungan na lang, -- as far as I know most cars are like that... kahit nga sa Civic ko pag apat nakaupo kundi kandungan, in and out... try that.

And how far away are you seated from the wheel? Siguro nga kung sa 3rd row ka nakaupo, di mo maabot mga controls kung nakasandal ka. Proper driving position should allow your wrists to touch the top of the steering wheel with your back planted sa seat back or sandalan. If hindi mo magawa yun, you're seated too far back or your sandalan is reclined too much. Stretch lang a little when driving, it's good for your health.

and some minor problems, sana maoffset to ng FUEL consumption man lang, na hindi ko pa ma achieve. -- baka nga the problem is with you.

ECU???- THE fuel engine system of GL is ECCS, controlled by computer dude..try to read the specs online
What I do suggest is borrow one of the ECUs of a Livina owner here..????
KUNG GUSTO MO DEAL TAYO, you drive mine and i will drive it IN the same ROUTE, same traffic condition, if you failed to achive at least 12 KM/LTR PALIT TAYO UNIT??? SERIOUSLY DUDE..!!

auditor??? - tol most hands-on employees os casa are technical capable, mostly automotive and Mechanical Techonology or MECH.ENGR, just for you to know. Quality auditor will check if the vehicle will pass the model standard AS ADVERTISED.

FC consumption???computation/method- full tank SYEMPRE NAMAN ANO?!!, on full tank-versus the distance you consume divided by the filled liters, AVERAGE IS 40 -42 LTRS, I never filled up my gas tank without seeing the light indicator.
you have great hearing!- dude have you ever tried SCTEX? I drove a bnew LIVINA and compared it to 99 model civic LXI and 09'CRV, the result, it seems that i'm driving an older model than the 99 civic since the civic is more quiet.. even more quiet on the CRV, ALL AIRCON-TURNED OFF to check wind condition.
THIS IS ON THE SAME DAY! same WHEATER CONDITION.

mahina aircon??? tol try AIRCON knob switch to number 1 in the noon or bet ween 1-4 PM (SUNNY condition) and compare it to other nissan like the 06' sentra, and other you will see the difference, try to seat also in the 3rd row for you to see(as passenger).

ol when you say half, it is divided into 2, 50% kung BAGA, hindi yun way that you fold them. MEANING, kung may groceries and 4 passenger ka sa LIKOD, 3 sa back seat and isa sa 3rd row (if can be folded into half BY half) and the other half can be folded so you can put th BAGS. OK na bayun?

I'm only 5'5" and i Drove alot of cars and been involve to car reviews and saw it online, try checking the cabin of 09'CRV and SETRA EXALTA, chevrolet cassia,EK9 (honda hatch-japan version) HYUNDAI STA. FE. KIA CARENS, and you will see what i mean, this is the EASE of pushing the buttons since you can easily reach it without leaning forward.

i had my livina since the first day of launch. My only problem is that FC too, pero ang sabi ng iba kapag nka-reach na ng 10k km ang livina. The FC will improve greatly
hindi pa umaabot ng 10k km ang livina ko pero i'm already satisfied sa FC ko kasi super traffic ang mga roads ko but a slight decrease on FC comparing our other cars

aircon - place ko kasi lagi sa number 2 ang amin kaya malamig naman (with middle cold temp gauge)... ang number 1 yata ay para sa mga takot sa lamig eh na hindi kayanin ang aircon ng nissan hehe...there is also a very big difference sa number 1 and number 2 sa aircon ng livina natin

ung backseat hindi na fofold sa half - i don't mind that hehe pwede pa naman maglagay sa upuan mismo db? katabi pa mismo ng passenger hehe

usog mo na lang konte ang upuan mo pa-forward para mas madali ichange ang control panel...
