tamaka Sir, very silent... lalo na pag EB na usapan..
- si GL ko just had its 5k pms, yung nasa checklist lang ang pinakita skin na ginawa...
-then nag synthetic oil na ako, mineral oil kasi sya nung 1k pms eh...
-my FC- ganun pa rin, almost 9kms / ltr... but today just came from batangas, 228 kms tinakbo ko, 13 kms /ltr... malakas pa rin?

Hi Dbanker, yup tama ka diyan pag EB medyo non committal ang iba sa mga members since siguro most of us have families na kaya medyo mahirap magset ng definite commitment sa schedule. Anyways meron pang pagkakataon and I guess this coming Holy week kung walang magbabalak ng out of town trips sa mga kasama natin, we can set an EB within the metropolis. Let's start getting the guys to commit even for a short EB lang to get things rolling. I think kahit 2 lang ang dumating, successful na ang EB.

Oo nga pala, almost 3 months ago na ang last oil change ko kaya back to casa na naman ako for another oil change. Though ang odometer reading is 2.6k pa lang, I think I should follow the recommendations of the maintenance schedule. Short trips lang talaga ang GL ko with a route from house to office and vice versa which is a mere 7kms distance or 14kms round trip. Yesterday ko lang na stretch ang legs ng GL ko. Pumunta ako ng Apalit, Pampanga to visit my wife's relatives and talagang impressed ako sa lakas ng GL. I was already doing 120 kms but my tachometer was only around 2.8k rpm. This is one of the secrets kaya matipid ang GL. It can actually attain a much faster speed for a much lower RPM compared to most compacts I have driven. My previous sentra was already doing 3.5K rpm at 120km/hr which is a significant difference. I also noticed na very stable and GL at high speeds and my eldest told me parang mabagal pa nga ang takbo namin and he only realized that I was already doing more than a hundred when I told him to look at the speedometer. Natawa nga ako when he said that my speedometer might be indicating a false reading since it didn't feel very fast at all.

Just finished my 5k PMS din pero nasa 4,000 km palang odo reading kaya lang last Sept pa yung 1000 km PMS ko.

Arrived at Nissan Gallery Q.A. at around 8:30 am and got my GL at around 2:30 pm, antagal..... Pero pina check ko yung valve clearance kasi minsan parang may naririnig akong kalansing or parang small pebble coming from the engine and sometimes naman ay parang mababa yung idling ni GL na parang mamamatay yung engine. After the PMS ay OK na yung idling nya, constant na and di ko na naririnig yung "kalansing". Synthetic oil din pinalagay ko kaya after 10k pa ako magpalit ng oil sabi ng casa but I need to change the oil filter after 5000 km. Sad to say, di nila kaya yung scratches ng Mags ko kaya hanap ako ng tire and mags shop.

Mahirap EB pag March, in my case, Grad sa high school, recognition day ng other kids, J/S prom, regular check-up pa ng in-laws, POEA, hay...

Balik na naman sa Yemen tonight....

Hi everyone! First post ko ito as tsikoteer and a proud new owner of this wonderful mpv.

Here's my "Livina" buying experience:

I got the Livina M/T(Elite) Cool Blue at P838K. P20k discount from the dealer. Financed it thru bpi 60 mos., 20% dp (P167,600). Monthly amortization is at around P14.8K at 34.6% interest 'ata. Chattel mortgage is around P16k. Insurance (0% participation) is around P19k which I chose to pay in 4 equal installments.

I traded-in my '94 civic for P110K, so my cash out is around P80k. (((P167,600+16k +4.9k) - P110k). BTW, the civic has a busted aircon compressor, oil leaks along the engine valve cover, transmission linkage problem, etc. So, I guess, good deal na rin yung pagka-trade-in ko.

Initially, ang appraisal ng civic is just P80k, it went up to P110k matapos mag-ping-pong match sa presyo ang Dealer A and Dealer B. It even went up to P115k pero I settled dun sa Dealer A dahil sa location.

On the P20k discount: Dealer A initially gave me a P10k discount, tapos Dealer B was willing to give P20K... Tinapatan lang ulit ng Dealer A.

On the low interest ng BPI: Initially na-beat ng BDO ang Auto Madness rate ng BPI. Tapos, ibinaba ulit ng BPI yung rates nila nung pinakita ko rates ng BDO. Anyway, it could have been lower siguro had I REALLY pitted the 2 banks together, pero na-atat na ako kumuha...

Freebies: tint (I added P1k para buo ang tint ng windshield sa harap), premium matting, LTO registration, seat cover, 20K pms. vouchers (which I still need to pick up since galing pa raw ng planta yung vouchers), P200 gas voucher

Driving Experience: Wala akong masabi... It's indeed a PLEASURE to drive. Ang gaan i-drive, pero very responsive ang handling. Ang sarap i-upshift/downshift, parang sa civic ang dating (short throw na very sure sa pakiramdam whenever you put it in whatever gear). Power really comes out after 2k rpm...

Driving in reverse is still a pain for me. Medyo naninibago ako sa limited vision ng rear (lalo na siguro kung gabi tapos puno ang sakay mo na nahaharangan nila ang rear view). Also, naninibago pa rin ako sa harap. Medyo longer ang front ng dati kong sasakyan kaya hirap pa mag-tantya.

Thanks sa lahat ng nag-post sa thread na ito. I got a lot of inputs from you guys! Upgrade sa busina from Goldrich at PPS sa Bigbert's siguro ang next itinerary ko kay "Livi"...

Livi, ( as in Livina?) Congrats on your GL and welcome sa tsikot. Update ko GL owners ha for you. Kung nasa Manila lang ako, I would definitely join the EB. Dito kasi sa town namin, ako lang naka GL. Napapalingon pa lahat and referring to my GL as small innova

. Pupunta siguro ako sa CASA sa Sat or next Sat. Magkano nga pala inabot ng expenses nyo for the 5k service?

Sa tingin ko sir ok na 13 kms/liter. Ako nag aaverage ng 14.5 pag steady driving at di lalagpas ng 100 kph. Pero pag medyo hataw nasa 11 to 12 km / li. Satisified na rin ako kasi yung lancer ko average nya 11 to 12 sa tipid mode.

Sa akin around 2,972 pesos yata, free pa kasi yung labor. 4 liters na synthetic oil + oil filter + shop supplies + VAT.

FC: city driving + a/c + waiting + warm-up + traffic = 9 km/liter
