SHARING IS CARING.....

anong pang-punas mo sa GL mo? best to use microfiber over chamois or pranela. yung swirl marks baka pwede pa mahabol kay big berts. consult mo sila.

December 8th, 2008 10:30 AM #1075You can find the info you need in your owners manual. Some of the stuff that I remember about break in procedure is:
1. avoid rapid acceleration
2. avoid rapid stops
3. don't stay in a specific speed for prolonged periods of time.
4. keep your speed under 100 kph.
5. Avoid racing your engine.
Just take it easy on the engine during the break in period and you'll do just fine. I believe there are certain limits on warranties regarding engine breakage during the warranty period. If by chance a problem occurs during the warranty period, you'll be confident that its not caused by mishandling of the engine during the break in period.
Now for the swirl marks, its a case of dust and abrasive particles scratching the clear coat when you clean the car. When you wash the car, make sure you use lots of water and car soap so the impurities will not scratch the paint job. You should also wash the car in a shade or under a roof and never outside where it is subjected to the elements. These tips are also specified in the owners manual.
To remove the swirl marks in your GL, you can have it done professionally at Big Bert's for peace of mind. Doing it yourself will be a tiring exercise and could be more expensive if you happen to commit a mistake.

December 8th, 2008 01:09 PM #1077i meant shell unleaded in my previous post, not petron. yes i prefer shell over petron, i seem to get more mileage from shell particularly from shell q. ave in front of hitop. i think iba-iba din per gas station in terms of pump calibration.

I recommend you use Petron XCS. Better ang FC ng GL ko in my experience when using this fuel and kaunti lang ang diperensiya sa price sa xtra unleaded.
Now sa paint protection system ng Big Berts, mga 5k plus pesos and charge para sa Kia carnival for a complete paint protection and detailing service. Para sa new cars naman, yung paint protection system for the GL will cost only 1200 pesos. I already inquired sa Big Berts sa Ortigas area last week so will bring my GL there next week.

http://66.218.69.11/search/cache?ei=...icp=1&.intl=us
