my squeaking Squeak —(Like tennis shoes on a clean floor!)

ive been trying to eliminate this squeking but to no avail coz its intermittednt (sometimes its there sometimes its not) til this morning when i stop at a quiet park and closed my front door hard and it squeked.. i did it again and heard its there i looked below, inside, check the door , underneath chassis and bodies, even dashboard.. the sound is limited to the 2 front doors when closing hard.. you can only hear it if you stop your vehicle with the squeaking still occuring..

then i called help from my driver to locate it and told me its in the hood dunno why its there but everytime i close hard it squeaked like air pushing under the hood maybe our navs cabin is airtight that the passage of air when closing flows to the hood..? (the 2 rear doors doesnt make a squeak!)

i tried putting rubber on the hood striker the squeked dissapeared..

ill still observe it for now and post for feedbacks if it works..

anybody experience or tried what ive done? would appreciate it if those who has the same problem try it..

i got mine fixed(no squeeking now).. bring it to nissan balintawak they already know how to fix it coz they fix mine ^^

try to call someone close the door and you can hear the squeek sound in the hood, my first thought was on the tire coz the squeek sound was there but try to hear it in the hood its loud enough not to notice..

It seems na solved na problem ng navara owners sa squeaking sound..

Yes sir we do have for 4x2 and we send a full set but the shock is not included.

I miss the door auto lock feature of my old Frontier. may naka pa kabit na ba ng after market ng auto locking mechanism sa Navara 4x2? I just dont know bakit ito pa ang inalis na feature w/c is a very effective safety precaution.

Ako madalas nakakalimutan ko e central lock kaya most of the time laging di naka lock ang pinto, yan pa naman ang MO ng mga holdapan sa traffic.

Sir boybakal taga manda ka tama ba ako i think madami diyan na pwede kasi yung 2 liftkit i send to baquio to jeff the other one i send to GO1 and also i send to FWC im not sure kung saan nila pina kabit but kayang kaya nag ibang shop kasi walang convertion na gagawin walang putol or welding na kailagan, just remove the stock parts then kabit itong after market lift ready na siya.

this is the hood striker i put a rubber in there now i tested it going to lucena and it worked no squeaking anymore..

this is where the Hood striker make the noise i guess tru the process of using our nav the hood lock is mis aligned.. its is said that you can drop you hood 12in from it.. maybe dropping the hood higher than 1 foot gets mis alinged

hope this helps others who has irritating squeak...

*BoyBakal - Many thanks sa photos and tips sir. I get the squeaking sound most of the time when the grease I applied on the hood lock gets dry with accumulation of dust. Now I'll try doing what you posted.
