March 9th, 2009 11:56 PM #765I got the chance to do some "butingting" with my navara last weekend, here's some:
- Changed red LED security indicator to clear-type(super blue) http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...EDupgrade1.jpg
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...EDupgrade2.jpg
- Removed MAF to check if its clean. Surprised to find out na sealed at nasa dulo ang sensor almost impossible to touch. Napagisip tuloy ako kung totoo ang sinasabi ng casa na yun ang cause ng smoke..The screws i think are of factory torque-parang hindi pa nabbuksan. USed magnifying glass at malinis naman sensor.. http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...tcos/MAFFR.jpg - yun dalawa makintab ay zener diodes i think eto yun intake temperature sensor..Yun MAF ay nasa dulo pa at mas maliit pa sa zener..
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...cos/MAFcon.jpg
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...atcos/MAFL.jpg
http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...atcos/MAFR.jpg
- Drained Fuel filter to check for water and dirt..Meron konti dirt, konti lang.
- Removed the engine cover and tada! http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/l...enginedirt.jpg sin kapal ng lupa ang alikabok na kasama ng langis..First time lang yata nabuksan kaya pinatikim ko ng vacuum at punas ang engine..

March 10th, 2009 12:09 AM #766*efrendat - welcome po sa thread. Kung sa Mecauyan, Polo, Obando, hangang Malabon area ka then i suggest you add undercoat..Dami po sa suking gasoline shop nag uundercoat siguro less than 5k. Bullbar meron sa Banawe ABS resin type palang nakikita ko, at yun semi stainless tinatangal ang tow hook to accomodate the mounting. I got mine customized sa stainless shop..
*hpon - no question sa power ng navara but i think 40 percent nun is driver skill esp when maneuvering on provincial roads..Pero iba talaga ang confidence when you hear the engine growl, parang mangangain.. For the smoke, try flushing carbon deposit on your muffler as temporary solution. I flush mine every 400kms. Safe driving po.

thanks!
so far wala naman difference sa ride. the difference in height is approximately half an inch and the width is almost 1 inch compared to the stock. i inflate the tires at 30 psi.
i almost replace the stock absorber with OME, but they gave me the wrong one. that should have make a little difference. however, stock navara have a very smooth ride compared to stock strada. (no need to argue, i own a strada too).
