hi mga chief and gurus. need some inputs lang with our navarra. with 8k milage, i am now hearing some squeaking sounds with the front driver side and some areas at the back. what could be the root of this and what part is affected? Saka i still experience alarm problem. During times when the trcuk is running, i hear clicking sounds and then the sound of alarm opening. Dealer still dont know the reasons. Said they will have to bring this to UMC. What i did temporarily, i removed 1 on the fuse that connects to the blue led light that blinks and it solved the problem as of now. But i still hear the opening alarm sound when i start the engine.

Mines 10tkm now although haven't tested yet but my SA said my squeking sound was from my reserve tire which is loose.. sounds like a loose nut sound or kalansing sound... so far haven't heard it til now but other here experience that squeaking when passing a flood area.. maybe others expereince the same thing.

*melvinglenn - nice HU, san nyo pinakabit yan? I want one pero sana may GPS na just like stock equipment ng EU models-i think kenwood yun or rockford??..Searched the net nasa usd 800 ang cheapest w/ GPS, clarion, fujitsu, or alpine.kaso wala tv tuner.

*adz - rattles sa front? naexperience ko din yan and the culprit found on the hood lock assy-may friction in between striker and latch..Binalutan kolang ng 3M electrical tape yun striker, ayun tumahimik.
Sa likod naman, leaf spring lang umiingay kapag dinaan kosa mini-river crossing sa farm and after magpa-washing expected after drying may konti noise na..WD40 or silicone grease lang katapat para manahimik.

*jatcos- not sure ako chief. i heard mine while traveling running * 60 up along the highway. lalo na pag medyo uneven pavement. para shang bakal na nag kikiskisan. annoying kasi since closed windows. pero pag naka bukas naman, i tried checking, d ko masyado marinig. might be because of various sounds that i can hear.

Sir Adz, ganyan din naririnig ko while the Nav is running 30kph and below. When crawling on offroad after a 45 minute drive, metal-metal noise is really irritating to hear. It comes from the back side of the truck. Casa mechanic cut up a piece of insulation foam and placed it between the bottom leaf springs. It didn't solve the problem though because I guess it's not the suspension because the grinding noise can be heard even on flat tarmac while speed is 30kph and below. There's no drag felt on the brakes though and the noise is just intermittent so the casa mechanics are just as clueless.
The metal-metal sound heard up front, as what sir Jatcos said, can be due to the hood lock. Had ours tightened and it was ok na.

*sir melvinglenn nice HU..my GPS na ba yan?..

*boybakal - ok sir tnx try ko ulit sa straight road baka kaya ang 200kph..yun nga sa youtube 220kph over a minute pa na hataw nya

*adz - Navara insulation is as good as most sedans kaya konti ingay sa mechanical dinig mosa loob..I thought the rattle was coming from the inside but when i simulated the vehicle movement, doon sa hood malakas ang sound.. Mabigat ang hood natin kaya either you add rubber stopper or insulate the loop-striker. Quickest cure is to wrap the striker with electrical tape..

*dadz - may sample pic kaba nun skid plate and tank cover, what gauge/mm ang steel na ginamit? thanks

Sir Bombi felt the same way cant find it so far havent tested it since na tight ko reserve tire sabi ng SA.. ang kakainis kasi minsan meron minsan wala yung sound hard to find and report if intermittent talga.. only happens when long drive, after flood and offroad..
