Update konarin, 10k PMS nothing changed though my FC parang settled na sa 12k/L..Aircon noise nandun parin pero not noticeable na, o baka nasanay narin ako? -to follow parin ang evaluation sa issue na ito. Overall consistent good performance..

Same aircon noise here. FC on mixed trips to the expressway and the mall is 10.2km/L. Anyone here own both a Navara and a Dmax? Parang anemic kasi yung acceleration ng unit ko compared to the Dmax lalo na sa paakyat. Hindi naman mausok. Is this normal?

Sir magmamanok papatingnan ko na din yung unit ko re: low power sa 5TKm checkup, kung hindi naayos yung problems natin sabay na lang tayo magreklamo sa UMC

Hi Everyone. A great new year sa lahat. So far, almost 4k na mileage ng Nav ko. Ok naman performance. AC part, sabi ng dealer, normal daw yung tunog once opening it. Sa usok, di ko pa ma picture out. Di ko makita kung pano. I have i problem though. Yung alarm keep malfuctioning. Kahit tumatakbo ako, after a while, tumutunog sha ng kusa as if i am pushing the buttons of my alarm. Lalo na pag pindot ko ang auto lock sa driver side. nakakahiya nga kasi panay tunog, yung takatak boys nga lumalapit sakin kala tinatawag ko sha. hehehe Though scheduled na sha this friday for service, i am just buffled kung ano cause nito. TIA

about black smoke, i checked with Nissan, may mga adjustments daw silang ginagawa during tune up and change oil. kaya pag due kayo for change oil, inform na lang daw and dealer. fyi

Sir Wh1stl3r, I was able to drive my Uncle's Dmax (1st Gen) from Iloilo to Kalibo, Aklan. Compared to our 4x4 Navara, the Dmax's acceleration is more powerful. On 2H, the Navara's torque at 2,000rpm feels anemic compared to the Dmax's pull at the same rpm range. I'm not an expert on engines so I'm guessing it's because the Dmax has a bigger displacement.
However, when doing highway driving with the Navara, shifting gears at 3,000rpm and above, it's pure acceleration bliss. The close gear ratios of the Navara really comes handy when having "fun" with turbocharged 3.0 displacement vehicles on clear highways.
Also at 3rd gear at 3,500rpm, mausok din po Navara namin. I could see the smoke through my side mirror even though tinted windows ko. Could it be mga sirs due to the diesel quality we have here in the Philippines?

Anyone who has experienced this annoying high-pitched metal-metal grinding noise coming from the back of the Navara? It happens usually when I'm driving in rainy weather. Our Nav's odo reads 11,000kms and I started to hear the noise intermittently from 6,000kms onwards. I don't feel any drag with the brakes. It's audible when driving really slow and disappears at speeds over 50kph. The sound is like you're dragging a large, heavy tin can below the truck. I've told the mechanic supervisor at the casa and they're just as clueless as me. They had a mechanic sit with me on a test drive. But it was a sunny day and the problem didn't show up. They'll put something, like an insulation on the underchassis on my next oil change.
