July 31st, 2008 10:18 PM #471Sir Wh1stl3r: The link you provided was true but its not updated after the failed first euroencap test they adjusted and from that day all navara being made are fixed, and all previously sold were called up to have the software update for the delayed airbag release in collision..
Heres the correct link news for it;
http://www.euroncap.com/tests/nissan...008_2/319.aspx
Heres the Link for the latest, note our navara here are all updated also i asked my SA before i bought it last April 2008...

good luck with your unit if you decide to get one
Sir haihuat: Pareho lang lahat ng diesel theres no difference price lang naiba in my view, sa shell is 59 or 60 per liter, sa caltex is 57.5 per liter sa shell kasi hindi nag rollback i even buy at petron same price as caltex kasi my credit card rewards ako dun if i use my bpi card..
unlike sa unleaded theres high octane of shell but slightly lang yun for me not worth it lagi traffic hinde naman ako mangangarera it just burn faster compare sa normal unleaded thats my view lang...
yung squeaking mo maybe nabaha ka or naputikan try din underwash so far i don't hear any squeak with mine

Thank you for clearing that up sir. We've never really doubted the safety of Nissans. Both my dad and I have walked away with nothing but scratches from serious frontal collisions (not our fault of course) in our Nissan pickups. Build quality is great, our 9 year old Frontier (na pang harabas) even has less dings and dents than our 3 year old Dmax. Just wanted to make sure the Navara is built to the same quality as our old cars.

August 1st, 2008 07:16 PM #473sir jatcos ginawa kona yung sinabi mo and it worked
thanks.
sir bakal so hindi naman ako magkakaproblem sa engine kahit na sa ibabaw petron sa ilalim shell and etc. then maghalo yung dalawang or more color? lalakas pa kaya hatak nun ksi halo halo (never tried pa) and minimal usok kapag tinest.. magkakatalo kaya sa performance compare sa iisang klaseng diesel lng?
yung lang talaga problem ko so far very satisfied ako sa nav ko
thanks

August 1st, 2008 09:01 PM #474Sir haihuat, normal lang po yun squeak sound sa leaf spring kung mejo dried up at nag accumulate ang soil/dirt..meron kasi friction in between the leaves kaya dapat from time to time nillubricate yun just like any moving metal parts..

Im planning to get a 3rd pickup CRDI na less than 1m pero dami ko naririnig problem ng strada and ford naman i have bad experience with parts and service..Baka navara ulit kunin ko 4x4..

August 2nd, 2008 02:04 PM #477sir, hinde kopa naman nadadaan sa baha or mud, i travel it every week manila-nueva ecija-manila but i plan to underwash it today para malinis hehe
ok lng kung underwash noh? baka kasi bumalik yung squeeking sound..
katakot pala mapasukan ng tubig.. try ko mag gas up sa total since partner sila ng nissan sabi kasi ng nissan matipid yung diesel ng total.. 1st time ko pa lang matry tong total been shell user for years..
malakas ang 4x4 you should consider it. yun nga lang 1.389m almost 300k diff. pero so far sulit naman sa power.

Guys am I right in thinking the 4x2's engine is the same as the 4x4 but with lower boost? If this is true, is it possible to get the engine to a tuner shop to set it to the same boost level as the 4x4's? We're planning to get a Navara soon but seriously mulling getting the 4x2 despite the cut in power. I had a 4x4 Trooper before and had practically no use for the 4x4. 300K is too much to spend on hardware I will probably have no use for. That's already enough to pay for the downpayment of another car. I'm sure the maintenance of a 4x4 vs the 4x2 will also be a pain in the wallet, with the way the price of everything is going up.
Also, are any dealers offering a discount on the Nav yet?

August 6th, 2008 01:19 PM #479YD25ddti(low) converting to YD25ddti(high)..Ive been thinking of this also but im waiting for actual results and sofar walapako nabalitaan..Try nyo sir ask speedlab baka merona sila nagawa.. Also you might want to consider water methanol injection for an upgrade..The most powerful 2.5l diesel engine siguro kalalabasan neto.
Kung matuloy upgrade, balitaan mo kami sir. I dont think aabot 100k ang upgrade..hehe..
Lately im considering 4x4 because of expansion ng farm..Pero i tell you this, kung mostly highway driving lang sa 4x2 kana..less weight, maintenance, more mileage..Goodluck with your new Navara.

You could try alcohol injection... similar kick to tuning for lower cost.
Of course, Alcohol + Chip = happiness...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
