Just arrived here in manila around 0200H umalis kami bicol 1930H pero iniwan ko si navara, crv dnala ko. Iwan ko muna sha sa brod ko..hehe mammiss ko un pickup.

Tama ka sir BoyB, mejo bouncy pero siguro kasi matigas un tires.. Dkona chneck kasi paglabas dealer dnerecho kosa banawe for dress-up ng functional mods. Pero un tires kita ko mejo tayo ang tindig mukhang matigas nga. Siguro bawasan ng pressure plus may konting load sa bed mag iimprove ride. Napansin ko sa high speed at sharp curve tapos may konting uneven bitumen tumatalbog ang likod dahil siguro magaan, pero smooth ang front very precise sa cornering.Sa province namin kasi dami sunod-sunod sharp curves kaya natest ko ang performance..Ang unang sakay kosa bed from manila are cartons full of equipment about 50 kilos only, diko pa natry ride kung mejo mabigat..

Yung tire lock na asero inabot 550 sa banawe kahelera ng carryboy also dun kodin kinuha yung tire lug na keyed(para hindi manakaw gulong kaagad), then bosch air-horn woth 650. Ang mahal nung stebel italy nila nasa 3k yta eh sa masangkay, binondo lamko nasa 1k lang un per piece. Yung Abloy padlock worth 1,575 sa Tosuy hardware - naisip kolang na doblehin ang lock using ordinary but thick chains tapos kitang-kita yun padlock sa ilalim para sa magkakaintres nenok sparetire ko eh cgurado magdadalawa icip na..hehe..

Worthit naman un sir BoyB, dbale na dami locks basta hndi manenok ung spare-bihira yung klase ng rims and PCD natin. Alamko insured yun pero abala din kc may participation charge yun, iwas nalang abala kay kelangan mag invest din sa security. Dnako mashado nkapamili ng mods kung ano lang madanan ko along dway kasi naghahabol din ako oras nun. Kaya nga pala ako napadpad sa sta cruz-binondo area nagpaduplicate din ako ng 2pcs ignition keys worth 70 pesos at bumili ng oversized lona worth 500pesos.

Yun upgrade ng busina make sure na wala sila tatangalin o susugatan na wiring, baka ma-void warranty mo. Madali lang yun basta un positive tangalin mosa original horn at yun magiging input ng coil sa bagong relay, then dont forget the fuse must always be near the positive pole of battery. Madami pala nakaabang na tornilyo ang navara dami mo pwede lagay na mods..hehe..Also ive checked the alternator, its 100amps kakayanin cguro lagay ng heavy subs, winch, or powerful bulbs.

About FC actually its 12.2 km/li when computed sa receipt ng gas station against sa trip meter. Plagayko kung hindi ako bumyahe ng tanghali mga nasa 15km/li un. Bago kasi kaya umaga ko binyahe pero inabot parin ng gabi at lakas ulan. Usually kasi sa fort 3.0 4x4 mga 11-12km/l nkkuha highway drive sa gabi. Palagayko attainable sa navara yung around 16km/l kapag tapos na break-in period? Yun FC mo its normal siguro kasi YD25ddti high engine, pero from my experience just maintain the 2k rpm(about the activation stage ng turbo) matipid yan.

About the turning radius naman, malaki nga pero mejo nasanay narin ako. Sa office kasi gnun din kami magpark parallel parking at dami maneobra..hehe

Yun 102km odo as per S/A tntest drive daw sa planta kaya ganun..pero okslang gnun din nman kung bbyahe nila from plant to dealer baka nga tinatangal lang nila ang fuse ng cluster meter para hndi tumakbo odo..hehe pero oks parin very satisfied, basta bago-new looks-excellent performance ayus lang.

Bukas usapin ko s/a about conduction permit extension then tanung konarin howmuch ung duplication ng remote control para next week sa 1st PMS 4pickup nalang. Will update soon, work mode ulit..

ui taga cagayan de oro ka pala.. baka may mga accesories nyan sa mga acc shops sa osmena like sa michiba etc.. congrats on you ride sir jatcos ang kosak sino na naka test jan ng 0-100kph? hehe share nyo naman ano kaya topspeed ng navara? yung may mga c! magazine jan share naman hehe

May question ako. Di ko kasi natanong sa SA. hehehe

1. All 4WD models come with leather seats right?
2. Does the A/T 4WD model come with metal-like color in the center dashboard or similar sa M/T model na sa steering wheel lang?
3. What is the difference sa 4WD and 2WD except sa LSD?

Gud afternoon, just want to share. Got my Navara 4x2 m/t and was able to test it in a long drive, here are my observations:

- turbo power is awesome comparable to fort 3.0
- at full stop, transfer of power to tranny is like a gas- weird for a diesel..sometimes mamatayan ka kung nasanay kasa other diesel na running start sa 2nd gear, Siguro ok ang a/t esp kung sa frequent stops, pero i think i just need to get used to it - kaya naman compensate ng clutch.
- big and wide
- very precise steering
- handling on winding road is like a sedan, Little body roll at almost hindi na apply breaks alalay lang ng accelerator pedal at 5th gear kayang kaya kurbada.
- was able to get 12km/l pero i think mas mataas pa kasi 2hrs natraffic sa slex plus traffic din sa towns along the way. Ride to bicol was 6.5hrs on a relax driving mode. Was able to reach 140kph about 2300rpm pero short burst lang kasi sa maharlika hw mejo maulan pa.
- mahina busina kaya pinalagyan kosa banawe airhorn worth 650 pero dko pinatangal un old pinalagyan kolang ng male socket para madali ibalik sa dati. Also installed together with the horn a 40A relay plus 10A fuse near the battery for extra safety..
- was able to test the ABS if working. Tnest kosa farm on a slippery grass and yes both front and rear wheels jerked.
- my only complaint is the wide turning radius(but expected for a long wheelbase), and very cold aircon-even at lowest setting..hehe

Some mods added, pero just what others say na no need to dress much ang Navara kasi guwapo at macho na kaya functional mods lang ang nilagay.
- bedliner with hooks, and rain visors (macho din pala tingnan kung soft lid lang, i traveled loaded ang bed lona lang tinakip at ropes..hehe).
- steptube(needed to protect the lower body from damage and also to hide the leafspring hanger).
- keyed wheel lug
- asero na spare tire cable/lock plus pinalagyan kopa ng thick chain at abloy cobalt padlock..hehe dami locks..sayang kasi spare tire alloy rims baka mawala.

Next mods(need to order pa)
- bullbar with skid plates - mejo madami animals crossing sa provincial roads and protection ito sa intercooler.
- tow bar with receiver tube plus pintle hook and tow ball.(ok ang gear ratios ng navara very useful sa hauling/towing)
- wider rims-current is 16x6 offset 55 lang
- wider tires pero para hindi mavoid warranty ubusin muna 70% para kung upgrade sa 245 pwede balik un dati incase dadalhin sa casa.

Yun lang po muna, will post fc after few thousand kilometers

Sir Boybakal nakuha nyonapo ba plate nyo, ilan weeks? dko kasi npa-extend conduction permit balako pagawa next week. BTW same dealership tayo pero got mine at 102kms ang odo..

Sir Kosak, not sure kung may local dealer sa area nyo pero kasi yun sakin from dealer derecho nasa Carryboy Banawe pero bago paman yun nagtawag nako kung available yung parts, chneck kosa internet then nagtawag sa phone. No time kasi talaga, i have to file vacation leave para lang makuha un car and ung dealer pinapunta kosa office to get the cheque. Pero try mo call Carryboy 732-3109 baka pwede ship jan or may local dealer sila - 78inches aluminum side bar CB740B got it for 7.9k including installation.. Kung mejo may time ka pwedemo fabricate nalang siguro anyway yung ilalim ng navara ang daming naka abang na receiver bolts para siguro talaga yun sa upgrades.

Sir JJCarEnthusiast, tried 0-100 in 12 secs mejo pinakamot ang rear wheels and dapat mabilis kamay change gears..yung 5th gear malakas,cguro dka mabibitin sa drag race..hehe.Kelangan kabisado rin kung kelan nag kkick ang garrett turbo ng engine about 2k rpm yun. My observation was 1.9-2k rpm ang 100kph on a straight road.

Sir Drey, not familiar with 4x4 but nakita ko iba lang yung meter cluster inicators, yung lapad ng wheel arch fender ng bed mas maliit ang 4x2, mas mataas by few milimmeters ang 4x4, 16x7 alloy 255 tires ang 4x4 - 16x6 205 lang 4x2, and engine of 4x4 more powerful than 4x2 but same displacement.

Sana nga magkaroon na ng Frontier-NAVARA club..hmm ganda idea, Ano kaya maganda name, NAVARA club of the phils??-parang may kapangalan ah?

Sino may 4x4 planning to upgrade ang rims? kunin konlang ung rims nyo to make my ride 4x4 look.

yan din ang gusto kong i tanong.. i heard that navara is slower when you measure the 0-100kph because daw of low powerband. pero it beats others in top speed

Actually, my uncles gonna buy one next month coz he said this pick up has been no. 1 in the west for years now...and what about the free cell? he does not know about it kasi...

sir jatcos, thanks again. re: my black navara. pina chrome ko nalang yung stock rims then change the tire to 245. also i follow the advice of sir mkryanortega na huwag msyado lagyan ng accessories. marami namang tumitingin at humihinto lang para matingnan pag pina park ko sa labas. about the fc, i travel once from cdo to davao, to iligan dretso dipolog, i got an average of 14 kms/liter. travel fr. cagayan to davao in 4 1/2 hrs.VERY COMFORTABLE AKO AND MY PASSENGER , VERY GOOD SUSPENSION, SOUNDS IS OK and etc. compared to my two previous pik ups before. my odo now is almost 5t and engine is ok. change oil muna then plan to travel to davao , again, dretso gensan ds week.
