yung grrr.. sound as explained by a SA in CRVI is the pumping in of Freon sa AC , ewan ko ba bakit it produces that sound, all navara units sold here ganyan po talaga daw as demonstrated to me sometime ago sa CRVI

yung sa gear mo po when moving from a complete stop makes a small difference kung 1st or 2nd gamitin mo,

4x2 MT has gear ratio of 1st 4.692
    2nd 2.705

meaning your pinion gear( the bigger one) must turn or make 4.6 revolutions before it turns your idler gear ( the smaller one)1 revolution until then saka ka palang aandar

the 2nd gear has 2.705 rev lang before 1 turn of you idler meaning mas short ang time thus moving you with a much less effort

hope this help sir, please correct me if my understanding is correct or may kulang

good luck to you sir, hope you can join us on our EB this Jan 30
sir I think the idler you mentioned is the called pinion, the pinion you mentioned is the ring gear. also the pinion is the small one it is connected to the driveshaft it turns the ring gear to turn the tires.

naku pow! ano na naman ba nangyari dito... naging busy lang po ako sa work kaya di na nakakapag post... all of a sudden, pagbasa ko dito eh spicy na naman ang usapan... hehehe

sir OJ... you're so right in dealing with that guy professionally... ... pahingi sir ng DANGER sticker ha... hehehe...

si sir boybakal ang bait niyan nung last EB... di ka na rin nakapagpigil sir at nagalit ka na rin... hehehe... hwag na natin patulan sir...

in "my own opinion" lang din ha... galit na nga mga taong may-ari ng Nav dito sa thread... eh yung mga taga kabila naman, ginatungan pa, saka mag-offer ng kapayapaan... porque ba open forum ito?... does it mean when you're exercising your right to post in any open thread (Navara thread), eh may modo ka na...

    sorry po for OT...

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

let us go back to the real Navara tech thread guys... sir jatcos magpakita ka ulit... miss na namin techy techy mo... hehehe
