*daddie, before your a/t nav have you owned another a/t vehicle before?kasi, could it be your're transfering your m/t driving habit to your a/t? medyo may kalakasan nga kasi fc nav mo. it could be na you just have to alter your driving habit to suit your trans shift points kaya lang pala from my own experience, hirap gawin nun. kasi nga, power corrupts. on that note di pala ako magandang mag-advice ano? kasi di ko kaya mag-lead by example, hehe
as for trans swap, mahirap pa yun gawin sa ngayon. relatively new ang nav sa market natin kaya there's shortage of parts and mechanics competent to do the swap. pero pag may determination kaya yan

*j_conrad, welcome to the thread sir. sana makasama ka namin sa coming eb para mapalakas natin ang club. regarding your inquiry sa persons in truck bed, LTO is vague on that matter altough for sure sa mga expressways NLEX, SLEX, SCTEX, etc. ipinagbabawal yan unless you have a canopy.
*Ileo, musta boss? di ka napunta nung last eb, hintay ka namin

Hi Sir, quote ko lang some previous post by Sir DaveMAx
Just released today my Black Navara 4x2 Manual after 2 weeks of processing. My wife and brod-in-law drove it home tonight.
Their positive findings (amateur review):
- di daw matagtag, feels like a car
- smooth shifting, mabilis and malakas daw humatak
- it is bigger, wider and looks tougher
- the doors closes very smooth (like ref door daw talaga)
- bright lights at dark roads
- my kids loved it (kiss pa daw dashbord)
- black looks very good daw, sa Nissan Bikol daw sold 6 Black Navaras na
The negative: (meron ba?!?)
- cream interior fabric seats dumihin, so she covered with seat cover neatly
- pag wala stepboard, magagasgas agad flooring sa doors
- wala turn signal light sa side mirrors (Middle East version meron)
- wala tie down hooks sa rear bed (ME version meron)
Thats their "review", comparing with our previous rides hi-lux, trekker, everest, Lynx.
I say, Navara is a tough, classy, and most decent choice for a pick-up, nice body looks especially the front grilles, well-proportioned design
post of Sir mkryanortega,
Got my Navara 4x4 a/t,2 days ago.I tried driving it with the stock rim and tire, and it was really a smooth ride, parang sedan.I replaced my stock rim and tire with a AWC 20" chrome-plated rim wrapped with the new Pirelli Scorpion STR Series 50,and expect the ride to have a big change but I was wrong, only about 10% decreases in its riding comfort, I thought it would change, because with my Nissan Patrol with 20" rim,you could feel its bumpy ride esp. with the kind of road we have here in the Philippines. Maybe Nitrogen really helped a lot but still its with the car,how it was made and designed.
I decided to get the Navara for the following reasons ( After test driving the Hilux and the Strada ):
1. Basically, its a family brand---my first car is a Nissan Sentra Exalta STA 2000,and its doing well til now,my Dad had a Nissan Power Eagle and a box-type Nissan Patrol, and now,he's driving a 2004 Nissan Patrol 4x4 A/T.
2. Nissan released the Navara in perfect timing. Lahat ng brand naglabas na,sila na lang wala.
3. Hilux is really a good car,but sobrang dami na not just in the urban area but in the rural area as well.
4. I'm a big fan of American trucks like F150 and the explorer, but i'm afraid of the fuel consumption---Navara looks like one,the built and the stance.
5. I love the feel of a sedan inside, and a rugged monster outside.
6. and the 174hp and 403nm torque,they're talking about.

November 25th, 2009 02:34 AM #2239You would have tons of pros and cons to deal with when it comes to choosing the right truck for you. Trucks of different badges would have their own sets of advantages and disadvantages: power, speed, size, ride and comfort, reliability, serviceabilty, service, insurance claim procedure, prestige, price, cost of ownership, and the list goes on...
Bro, isa lang ang masasabi ko: "Iba ang dating mo pag naka NAV ka".
It's got this "executive/snobbish" perception that I find unique to owning and driving big executive cars. It was a big surprise for me at first but it became consistent as time went by.
I could be wrong bro but there are silent benefits unknown to many in owning a prestigious brand. You've got to own one to experience it.
Drive it! Feel it! Experience it!

November 25th, 2009 02:53 AM #2240Is there a "softee" in the house or man, you just called me SOFTEE?? If it's the latter then by all means I insist that you call me HARDEE next time! Ok??
You know what? I don't know either! Hahahahaha! 5-speed lang tayo diba? Yes, I'm sure our A/T is 5-speed. I agree with you on the smoothness of our Nav's shifting though. It generously rewards you of (almost) unlimited power once you floor it. Those of you who came to our first EB saw the agility, speed and power of Cydep's Nav vs the 530d! I never thought our Navs could be driven like a car... actually, like a sports car! I'm sure, RRL would agree...
How are you bunso? Come to the EB on the 28th ha?
I can attest that these tablet types don't leave any marks nor is it harsh on the washer system. I...
