Just a correction the M226 is not the same as a Dana44 but Nissans version of it. If you buy parts for a Dana44 and try to use it on your M226 you will be in for a surprise because it will not fit or work in the M226. The site you posted modifies the trucks to those standards and they are not sold as stock equipment by Nissan. Besides the anything above 35" tires on a Dana 44 will cause problems like what is happening with the M226. Are you in the US?
They come in 33', 35" and 38" tires. But unless you modify your drivetrain you will destroy it with 38" tires.Last edited by redorange; October 30th, 2009 at 12:01 PM.

October 30th, 2009 01:10 PM #2112No sir, im in the Republic of Ph.. Look at my ride on previous post and its so tropicalized.. hehe
Thanks for the corrections sir. Your X have a lot of similarities with our Thai-built Navaras and its good thing we have fellow tsikoteer/ Kababayan like you who are very kind in giving informations about strenghts, and weaknesses of our trucks. We are still new with our truck since it was introduced less 2years, and in the process of familiarizing with this vehicle. It seems that you have a lot of experience working with these trucks, if i may ask are you in the Automotive, Aerospace, or Engineering Field?
We might as well meet in the future, the upcoming Navara Club Philippines is a good venue to discuss our hobbies.. If i rmember it right, we have another tsikoteer from US who owns a Nismo Fronty(forgot the id)?? Might as well invite him to our upcoming club and share the experience with the truck.
BTW based from manual and physical inspection, we have the M226 rear and R180 front.

October 30th, 2009 10:06 PM #2114Mga Sirs good eve. I'm not really new
and I've been reading this thread since April and I find it very very informative and inspiring. Informative because I read some of the DIYs that could improve their rides. Inspiring because I used to see some of your contributors'/member's Sport Utility Trucks that made me envy.hehe.
I don't drive a Nissan Navara and haven't driven any yet but I drive another Nissan Pick-up. At least it's grandfather the Nissan Classic Pick-up with an SD23 Engine (engine that won't die, after 2 years na walang andaran. With new battery, fix the wiring and there it goes moving-running again parang hindi na-stock. SHARE KO LANG.hehe). That's the least I have to have the right to post in this thread. (I guess.hehe)
Everytime I see a Navara I can't help to stare at it until it is gone. The Size, The Built
, The Height
and The Boxy Shape
.... Parang si IRONHIDE! (the black truck in TRANSFORMERS). Intimidating! Machong macho. I did even DRAWN a Navara on an IRONHIDE-look, ON MASSIVE TIRES, STEEL BUMPERS, HIGH-LIFT, BED EXPOSED STAINLESS TWIN EXHAUST PIPES and name it "IRONHIDE II"...
So much for my OBSESSION, I would like to Congratulate NCP. More Power, and happy Navara Weekend. I hope you'll make it big and I know you will.

November 1st, 2009 02:44 AM #2117Guys what's the stock tire spec of the 4x2 Navara? All it says in various websites is 205/R16 and doesn't tell me anything about the aspect ratio. Also, is there a difference between the fender flares of the 4x2 and 4x4 version? Mukhang mas malaki yung fender flares ng 4x4 or are my eyes just deceiving me? Thanks!

*eavesdropper - Forgot about the size. 2fabricators along espana near blumintritt, 1fabricator along G.Forbes-just after Nagtahan..
*ferrari967csL - Great truck! SD23 i think are fitted to D21 ute??, and they are also called Navara in european countries. Nissans are known for reliable pickups.
*noobskie - They have different fender dimensions easily distinguised at the rear.. Stock rubber is 80 AR.

November 1st, 2009 07:23 AM #2119We got diesels but we dont have tailgate lock, optional e-lockers, Nismo packages, sunroof, side-curtain abags, rear-sliding glass, cruise control, and long-bed version.. Hehehe
Wait until they release the Renault co-built V6 crdi.. I have a strong feeling US will open its doors for clean diesels.

The Nismo package are just cosmetic and suspension bits that you can buy online and they really aren't that great either. The e-locker you can replace with the ARB for the M226 which is better than the e-locker. The other stuff like airbags will have to be mandated by the govt if you all want that. Sun roof you can get aftermarket installed in the truck.
Well the issue here in the US isn't the diesel isn't clean or the CRDI because they've had CRDI's here longer than the Philippines because they are used by the HD pick ups from Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. Even with those things people aren't particular to diesel because diesel cost more at the pump and the premium you pay for the diesel version of the vehicle doesn't off set the cost.
I can attest that these tablet types don't leave any marks nor is it harsh on the washer system. I...
