im shocked by that black smoke. there must be something to be done to control it.
That engine definitely needs to be checked. Mine does not emit that heavy smoke even when loaded and throttle open. I think the issue is not new to Diesel engines with no exception to CRDI's, because of neglect or poor maintenance. Ive seen D4D's, Starex CRDI, Global Dmax, and yes Strada do smoke like that. BTW,we have these 2 Stradas out of 30 in our fleet that encountered heavy smoke, it was remedied under casa warranty. My best bet is engine running rich because of fouled MAF sensor. Guys always clean your filter and beware of those oiled replacement filter..

I agree that posting those pics does not bring any benefit since we all knew this could happen on anybodys CRDI. Maybe it is more proper to post it somewhre like goonsquad with title: I was literally smoked by a Navara along EDSA..

Come to think this, what if i post at Strada thread about the issues like recurring squaky leaf springs, uneven suspension height, unresolved unstable-steering-feel, Canter-like noisy 4m41 engine, etc etc.. Just to be warned about these already known issues. What would you feel? hmm.. No offense meant po pero thats how i feel.

Tama, cool lang kayo mga braders ang mitsa ay para sa kandila ng November 1.

Basta isa lang ang masasabi ko.. For us owners, Navara is sui generis.period

OT. *loki, lagi ka inaantok yata

Para hindi OT. *vj2k6 - Sir ilan offset ng tires mo? the more i look at your ride, the more im convinced to get a lift..

Yung kia carens ko dati emitted heavy black smoke and very sluggish ang takbo, i changed diesel brand from shell to seaoil but ganun pa rin, change and cleaned the filters but heavy smoke pa rin, and it was only fixed when the mechanics checked the egr, they said they adjusted something sa egr, di ko na alam kung ano ang ginawa nila, basta ang sa akin lang ay ok na ulit ang car ko and no heavy smoke na and gumanda na ang takbo (di na sluggish), they advised me na patakbuhin ng matulin pa minsan-minsan ang car para daw di maipon ang soots and medyo makahinga naman daw ang engine , purely city driving lng kasi lagi car ko and short distance travel lang palagi.

    I agree with you Jatcos.

Dapat mag simula ka ng bagong thread " My Strada got smoked by a NAVARA at EDSA...

ANG ASAWA NI JUAN, KAY JUAN LANG! HINDI DAPAT MAKISAWSAW SI KAMOTE!!

    * Doncuadro - Ang puso mo..hehe I call it a general tendency to smoke when neglected which is common to CRDIs. Known fact na yan not only with Nissan but with other brands. Bakit kelangan pa isampal sa mukha at pagusapan at pagtawanan sa thread nila?? Parang yung ginawa nila sa hilux pic.

We know Navara because we own and drive Navaras. I Know Strada because ive driven several times already, have 2 in our family and 30 in our fleet. As what ive observed, there are more Navara converts, and more Strada because they are cheap. We do not stoop down to their level, ika nga iba tayo and we can't compare.

Iwasan na lang po natin ang mga negative comments, flamebiting, over d bakod sa thread nila, etc.. Yung mitsa itinanim nila, wag nalang pansinin. It reflects to their personality or club kung ano man ginagawa nila (we know their faces too).. If they think their rides and club is immaculate then WE at Navara club DONT CARE..

    Back to topic please..

    * DonCuadro - ive read the replies on the other thread. May ganoon pala, post then sabay bawi at explain na concerned sila sa maintenance, climate change, etc.. I think thats no excuse because those issues are general facts.. Mas madami issues ang ride nila bakit hndi nalang yun ang pakialaman nila..

Oh well basta ang issues with Navara can be remedied pero i dont think with their rides which they must live upon because its permanent due to vehicle design. Kung ano man yun, no plans ako na i-post dito or i-document pa at ibigay sa kabilang thread because i know they knew it already..

Some people just get intimidated because the king is back. Undisputed fastest and classiest pickup in the Phils..

OT. Buti pa si Sir Loki at Julez, behave daw ngayon sabi sa kabila.. hehehe
