good day to all nav owners;
guys may naka experience na po b sa inyo ng problem sa starter natin at sa wiper motor? may naka usap kc ako kagabi na nag kaproblem, pero nareplace daw naman sa casa. sabi nya may recall daw sa mga first batch ng nav. how true po b ito, ako kc dec 08 ang nav ko, any comments?

mga sir, question lang po. naghatid po kasi ako sa airport a couple of weeks back. going up to the departure area, medyo may traffic. nasa "D" position yung tranny bumababa siya. Testing ko sa "3, 2, 1" bumababa pa din. dapat di ganun diba? o talagang mabigat lang nav kaya ganun? tyaka during driving, pag nagshift po ba kayo from "D" to "3" or lower, step nyo pa din break pedal? from my understanding upon reading the manual, you only need to step on the break pedal when you're in the "D" position going to "3" tama po ba? parang ang hirap kasi minsa, sa highway when i overtake i still press the break pedal a little bit to shift to the "3" position. Thank You!

sir loki ito na naman ako... if you have to back read, this was my issue the first time I joined this forum, yung umaatras sa paakyat coming from your a full brake and hanging... dahil yan sa bigat ng body sir, pero pag ganyan try mo timplahin sa rev mo para di umatras or be quick enough to use your handbrake pag critical yung distance ng nasa likod mo na sumusunod... actually the idle can be adjusted higher in the drive position to compensate the weight but this will sacrifice fuel consumption... pakitignan mo sir sa thread #858 may mga sumagot sa akin dun...

regarding overtaking, do not put it in gear 3 lalo ka babagal, mag-engine brake ka niyan... bawal din yung shift mo sa 3 yung A/T kung nasa high speed ka... i think gear 3 is limited to 94kph according to the manual... nagagamit ko lang 3 or 2 sa akyatan sa bundok at engine braking pag umuuwi ako ng province... you can still overtake while staying in drive position on a level highway... you just have to press hard the gas quickly (but not too much baka umusok) and the engine will automatically shift to a lower gear.... if you need a longer engagement of the lower gear (like overtaking a trailer), you can press the O/D off (overdrive off) while pressing the gas harder then press the O/D on once nakalagpas ka na, otherwise it stays in gear 4 as maximum gear... mapi-feel mo nga dumidikit ulo mo sa head rest pag press mo ng gas harder tapos nag-eengage yung turbo mo while overtaking... sarap nang feeling sir! hehehe... dun ko nakita kung paano mapahiya yung mga lokong kotse na lalong binibilisan pag nag-overtake ka.... siya nga pala, try to look at your odometer while in gear 5 and press the O/D off, you can see the gear shifts from D to gear 4 as indicated...

remember, just press your gas harder and it automatically downshift, while staying in D position on a level highway...

*julez - thank you sir! pareho pala tayo ng napansin... late ko lang napansin since first time ko try ko yun... hehe... regarding naman sa overtaking, i only shift to the "3" position recently when i'm about to overtake, try ko lang din... ginagawa ko habang tumatakbo, about 60-70kph, i shift to the 3rd gear then back to D... may nag suggest kasi sakin ng ganun... ^^ pero yun nga, ginagawa ko na lang pedal to the metal... ^^ talagang mauuntog ka sa headrest!

newbie po kasi talaga ko sa a/t transmission kaya try ako ng try ng kung ano... pati yun o/d off try ko na din yun nga, hanggang 4 lang ang gear nya...

anyway, consulted manual again... turns out, i only need to press the button to shift gears... grrr!

sorry sa mga naguguluhan sakin...
