thanks, its nice to read all of your thread
Here's my view with strada. Ive been driving this 2.5 strada as company vehicle and ocassionally two family 3.2 a/t when doin long trips. All i can say is 3.2 power is great but Navara's 2.5's can keep up very easily without hesitations.
What i dislike with strada is driving feel during cornering or when goin thru potholes where steering gets shakey and tires feels like jumping sideways. This turns my confidence off when maneuvering zigzags because of instability feeling. Another thing is the engine noise inside cabin when you hit 1.8k rpm and up, its so loud.
They are both good pickup though but from my experience Navara drives more like a sedan. imho

July 17th, 2009 09:23 PM #1153good day nav owners
share ko lng truck namin after 30k+, 1year+ old 4x4 MT
clutch disc replaced (as far as i knw two navs na replaced sa cdo nissan)
last week AC ayaw na mag function, they fixed it but after a day,di na mag work.fan or blower needs to be replaced.(ika 3rd nav kami na siraan daw AC)mechanic said sakit s aulo daw AC ng Nav coz they have to remove the whole dashbrd just to check AC coz evaporator is placed near back of the stereo.
mods:
bigger horn w relay
halogen lamps w relay
carryboy roll up
bilstein shocks coz ome sobra lambot cant handle heavy load.
ironman loadplus(sold coz doesnt work sa leaf spring ng navs)
lift 2 inches using block shackle and spacers front

sir karlitozz, sakit daw talaga sa ulo aircon ng nav... if you've read some of my previous posts regarding my aircon problem, di din nila maayos and di nila maayos tapos sa casa ko naman, ako pa lang nagkakaproblem sa aircon... di pa nila sinabi sakin na ganun ka hassle magtanggal ng evaporator, buti na lang di ko muna pinababa yung evaporator kung kailangan pa tanggalin yung dashboard...
tapos yung sakin mag 3 months pa lang, 3kmileage... mukhang pahirapan magpaayos ng aircon ng nav in the long run...

for those who were told dapa navs nyo or low ground clearance

July 20th, 2009 12:52 AM #1157Gooday everyone!
23 years old lang po ako. hehe. And sino nga po pala dito more than 40K mileage nila? Thanks po!

Nearing 20TKm, no problems pa naman.
Medyo nagugulat lang mga motor/other cars pag umoovertake ako, di kasi naririnig yung engine. Tried Petron diesel but didn't like it. Parang walang hatak. Got 10km/L mixed driving. Went back to Caltex and got 11km/L.

If it's any consolation, my other pickup's aircon also smells, nasanay na lang yata ako. hehe

Mababa kasi ang center of gravity ng Nav natin kaya maganda and takbo specially when you throw it into corners.Damping is also tuned for stable cruising at high speed. Medyo ramdam lang yung mga small ruts but I guess that's an acceptable trade-off. Yung sentiments mo about your Strada naramdaman ko din in my Dmax. At speed sobrang nakakatakot na. Malaro masyado yung suspension.

Ground clearance is easily cured by replacing the tires with higher aspect ratio (245/75, 255/75 or 265/75) tires. Di pa rin sya malikot lumiko at 245/75r16.
