has anyone has the chance to drive this? nacurious lang ako; while it's a given that they'll fiddle around with the suspension, brakes, etc., the sentra's stock engine really isn't designed for sports/racing di ba? QG din kaya ung engine nito?

It depends on what type of racing you're pertaining to. If you're after drag racing and straight line acceleration then the answer is no; but if you're looking at circuit racing (i.e. RWYB at Subic) then the QG engine can stand on it's own as Nissan engines are usually geared/tuned for mid range power which has a good advantage over those high revving, high power band engines (just add a free-flow intake plus some tuning and you're good to go). Given the Nismo kit is a suspension and brake package then it pretty much makes the car lean towards track use; and tuning your suspension and brakes is the best place to start on the track... you'll have a better advantage and get better times over tuning your engine and keeping the suspension/brakes stock.

It'll definetely be more fun to drive, but not a powerhouse. Still, it's a nice package, better than the purely cosmetic TS package they were offering previously.
I used to drive a sentra on a sports suspension (gas shocks, lowering springs and strut brace) and engine mods. The suspension mods made a bigger difference, in my opinion.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The local Nismo Sentra is just your basic Sentra with a body kit and suspension upgrades. Not worth the money as compared to getting the basic unit and doing the upgrades yourself.
